How do I get the lint trap off? Im pressing the sides together to slide it off but its really on there.

Press down on the handle and it will release the lint trap. Press again and it will detach the brush. Then you can unscrew the stainless steel blade cover if needed for cleaning.

Will it be helpful to remove pets hair?

Sorry, that fabric shaver t does not help pet hair.
