These are exactly what I expected. It's not a thick pad, but they are great padding. The material inside the padded part seems to be like several layers of fabric, maybe like 2-3 layers of neoprene, rather than something inflated that can deflate.The elastic around the leg are comfortable to wear, although if you spend a lot of time with your knees bent, the material will loosen, so if you wear these to jump around, they will start sliding down if they started out a bit loose. That's perfectly ok for my use anyway, but if you are wearing them for running and jumping, you may want to get a smaller size so they are a bit tighter to begin with.My knee is 13" in circumference (tape measure wrapped around knee). I got a Medium, and it's a perfect fit. I'm always wishing people would give size info in their reviews, so I hope that helps.

Not bulky at all; perfect for floor work dancing! Love them.

I’m 5’5” 150 with thick legs, I ordered a medium and they fit well. The tops do roll down a bit, but the pads are Pretty good and still stay in place. I use them for dance, floor work and pole.

Great for kids who have to kneel a lot- cheerleading, altar boys, martial arts, etc. We got a size small for my son who serves at the altar for Mass. He is 8 and will probably be able to wear them for another year before moving up to a size medium.

These are nice knee pads, but I do not recommend these for anyone plus size. They absolutely did not fit. I'm not returning them only because I am losing weight and eventually hope they will fit and can be used.

Great Value .. daughter made me get these along with exercise/resistence bands (and gloves for her too lol) for the gym .. glad I got them all but these (I wish were a little thicker) but are still a TERRIFIC VALE for what you get .. open up wide enough for my knees and size 15 feet (kidding) to get through .. but for exercise these are great, I just hav been using them to caulk to floorboards recently so brought in a mat to kneel on as well towards the end of the job (yes really) but then Im older and my knees needed it .. 5 Stars easy here ..

Really nice knee pads! I have some pretty weak knees and often bump them even lightly on something and it hurts SO bad, so these are really awesome to wear, they're not super bulky, not too thin, just the right amount of protection for me~ definitely going to wear them indoor skating, or on hikes yo keep my knees safe.The only down side i personally have with them is that the pads are kind of uncomfortable on my knee caps, but it could be just me sense my knees are so sensitive to begin with. Either way, it's worth the little dis comfort for me.

I washed once and the foam on the inside has separated where my knees contact the floor most. These would be better if the foam were replaceable or made of a higher quality material.
