The wax is easy to heat up in the microwave
After getting waxed every month for three years, the price of going to a salon just added up. I decided I wanted to learn how to do it myself. So I bought some of this wax to learn how. The wax is easy to heat up in the microwave. The color is a pastel or mint green. It goes on smooth, and pulls off just as smooth. There is no scent with the wax. I will give you some tips on how to use the product: First, I take a warm shower and exfoliate before I wax. This helps to get the hair sticking up and open the pores up a bit so the hair comes out easier. Then after my shower, I put some pre-epilation oil on. This helps the wax to stick to the hair, but not to your skin. A little goes a long way, too much makes it so the wax has a hard time sticking to the hair. I suggest having your hair 1/4" long. It can be longer, but the longer it is, the more painful it is. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Start with small strips, until you are comfortable with your technique. I like the texture to be pretty runny, but I have a high heat tolerance so it doesn't bother me. Start off with some wax on the back of your hand so you don't burn yourself. Once it is to the right temperature you can apply. Wait 30 seconds before you pull it. I usually tap my fingers on the top and wait for it to stop being sticky or tacky. The wax pulls of perfectly. It usually grabs almost all the hairs. Sometimes you have to go over it a second time. But that is even the case when you get it done professionally. It takes me about 30 minutes to do it on my own. Use a mirror to help with the hard to reach areas. If you have a comfortable partner or friend, you can ask their help. My partner is too afraid to hurt me, so I just do it on my own. Good luck!

Face wax
I’ve been buying this for over a decade. It’s one of the few microwaveable waxes that is also hard wax. This means you don’t need to buy any cloth strips or a wax warmer. I use it for my face even though it’s Brazilian. No sensitivity and one jar lasts me about 3 facial waxes.

BEST BIKINI WAX!!! ON MY 5th JAR!
I originally purchased the Brazilian Bikini Wax Microwave Formula set where it came with the Pre Hon, Pre-Epilation Oil, Wax Off Lotion, Slow Grow Oil & small/large applicators & have continued purchasing the wax by itself now replenishing my 5th jar. I don't think women should complain about the pain considering what this product is supposed to do, but just like if I were to go to a salon, I take Advil 30 minutes before I wax to help with the pain & swelling, but having done it so many times now, I no longer need pain medication to help. It's tolerable now at this point! I suggest using the Pre Hon, then Pre-Epilation oil as directed because it helps the wax ease off the skin easily when you're ready to pull off the wax on the area you've applied it on. There were a few times I tried it without the Pre-Epilation oil because I felt it made it too slippery, but it was more painful to pull off the wax. I realized I had to apply very little of Pre-Epilation oil for it to work & voila! It's become easy for me to do my own brazilian wax within 10-15 minutes. It can get a little messy depending on your own application & it will take practice especially if you have no clue what you're doing, but I don't think these are good reasons to give this product a bad rating (like some people). The only thing I would recommend from experience is that depending on the voltage of your microwave, it takes me 2 minutes to get my wax hot enough to melt down, BUT- I let it cool down for about a minute or until it gets to more of a caramel consistency (it's more watery when it's too hot) before I start using it. All in all, this product is amazing & definitely worth it when you save money from having to go to a salon to get it done, but to each their own!

What an experience, I've switched to sugaring
I've never used hard wax before but I hate shaving, and have a high-ish pain tolerance, so I thought i'd try this. I heated it up, took about 3 minutes in my microwave at 15-20 second intervals. When I bought this I also ordered 800 Popsicle sticks, so thats what I applied them with. After heating, I thought I was a pro, and didnt need to practice using this on my arm/leg. I had never used any sort of wax at home before, so how hard could it be? oh man Of course i went straight for the bikini line, more inside the line if you're picking up what I'm putting down. that was mistake #1. I highly recommend you test this out on your arm/leg so you can get used to how thick you apply it, how long you leave it for, how big of an area to spread it on. Otherwise you will end up like me, half your junk covered in a hardened wax, that you then need to slowly peel off of skin that hasnt been shaved in about 3 weeks. On the bright side, my first waxing experience set the bar pretty low on comfort, so the rest of the evening was a breeze. I found that, like the other reviews say, you should wait until the wax is not sticking to your fingers, but is "tacky". then just rip that off as fast as you can. I found that this didn't get 100% of my hairs off, but I'm also not good at using it yet. I waxed my entire bikini area(s), and the equivalent of about one calve (calf? which one is the animal?) and used up about 1/6th of the container. I found this worked amazing on my face, and didn't even hurt which i did not expect. They turned out so good, and it was so painless that my (hairy) boyfriend actually asked me to do his eyebrows too. Last note, in the instructions it talks about using a strip on top of the wax, but dont worry, you actually dont need one. ******update a year later****** It has been a year and i've bought this 3 more times. I got good at using it, but I no longer do. This would always leave me sore for 2-3 days anywhere i put it, sometimes bruising, and each hair follicle bleeds every time for me. I began to make my own at home sugar wax following along with a youtube video and I have had AMAZING results from that. No blood. No soreness. Much less pain. And with sugaring you can wax shorter hair, damaging it in its growth cycle so your hair grows back thinner and thinner and I can confirm this. I sugar waxed a bit of my arm about 10 months ago and there is still less hair in that area than everywhere else. My underarm hair grows back with less and less each time, and my bikini line hairs are coming back lighter which is great. I also LOVE sugaring because if you get it anywhere on accident, all the ingredients are, are lemon juice, water, and sugar so it is water soluble and you can wipe away mistakes with water. not to mention I can make this entire tub of gigi wax for cents when I use the sugaring method. give it a try, I wish I did sooner.

0/10 wax
Title: This Wax Is a Crime – Still Stuck to Me After a Day If I could rate this below zero, I would. The GiGi Bazillion Wax is hands down the worst wax I’ve ever encountered—and I’m not a beginner. I’ve tried plenty of waxes, but nothing prepared me for this level of disaster. It’s extremely sticky. Not just “grips hair” sticky—this is “glue trap for humans” sticky. It didn’t pull off like it’s supposed to. It just stuck, smeared, and refused to let go. I followed directions and tried every removal method under the sun: oil, soap, warm water, scrubbing—you name it. It took me an entire day to get most of it off and even now, there’s still residue clinging to my skin like a bad decision. It got under my nails and wouldn’t budge. I’ve never felt so gross after a wax session. This wasn’t hair removal—it was a sticky horror show that ruined my evening. Final thoughts: never again. I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy. It’s not just a waste of money—it’s a whole experience in frustration and regret. Rating: 0/10. Do. Not. Buy.

Good job for a good price
Once applied, it has a nice texture. I've purchased the same item from this brand twice because it truly works. Presentation has changed, and the color of the wax has probably changed as well. It continues to function flawlessly. I heartily endorse it.

Bikini wax may have changed packaging
Packaging change? What i keep getting doesn't match the pics or previous packaging. Old product says "no epilating strips needed" but the ones they've sent me twice say "hard wax". I sent it back because of that but now i'm thinking it's packaging change and they haven't updated their pics. Too confusing!

Don’t look?
If you have a strong grip and hate yourself, this is the product for you. Be prepared to sit wide legged in front of the microwave with a minimum of three beers ready. I laughed, I cried, but I did not bleed. I made it about half way through, and gave up, I’m just too weak in heart and hand - you stare too long into the abyss, the abyss stares back at you. Product 10/10, my ability to do this to myself, 4/10. Unfortunately I’ll have to take to the other lip with a razor, but if you’re a strong, independent person, this product will do you well. Good luck and god speed.

Easy to use
I absolutely love this product. Saw someone using it on youtube and wanted to give it a try. It has been a life saver during corona times. So easy to use for eyebrows as well as upper lips without any hassel. It probably needs to be heated more than a min as the product says for easy application.

Never paying for a salon brow wax again!
This is super easy to use. I researched a lot before buying this, watched a bunch of YouTube reviews and settled on this product. Some of the reviews say you have to warm it more than what the instructions recommend. This is true. I warm it for 15 second intervals for a total of about 1 minute to 1 min 30 seconds. After the first few intervals I try to crack the top and stir slightly. I only warm it enough to get some of the middle to the right consistency. It would probably take 5 or more minutes to heat the entire amount of wax through and I’m not sure what that would do to the plastic container. Regardless, if doing brows you don’t need it all heated anyways. I purchased little wooden applicator sticks from the same brand and they have a slanted edge. Application is easy. Wax stays warm enough to use for about 30 mins or so. I figure since I’m just using it for my brows, that the amount of wax will probably last 6-12 months.
