Ordered this as my daughter had cut through my corded one! Really pleased with the quality of it, have given it its maiden outing and it easily copes with smaller branches but I found it struggled a bit on any branches that were bigger than thumb width ( which in fairness is quite thick). It's got a good length of battery time and the battery charger is very easy to use. It also has a safety guard of the top handle for extra protection.Performance wise I am very pleased with it, it's perfect for my usage but just be aware that if you have thick branches to cut you might need something a bit more powerful.

My garden was very overgrown and I did a lot of research on which item to buy to trim it back. I was thinking I'd need a chainsaw, but they scare me. The Terratek trimmer is a great compromise and has done the job really well. The length of the blade makes it easy to hack through the undergrowth and reach places you wouldn't be able to get to so easily with a shorter blade.It's fairly light to use and has a good safety mechanism, whereby you have to hold it with two hands and press down on two different switches to get the blades to work. Obviously you still need to be really careful but I felt quite safe using it. It was great using sweeping movements through the thicket but it was also precise enough to cut individual branches or strands of bindweed.When my trimmer arrived I noticed that one of the batteries wouldn't charge. There is a little button on the battery that lights up three LEDs to indicate the amount of charge and this button didn't work either. The other battery was fine. I emailed customer services on the day my trimmer arrived (Saturday) and received a response on Monday morning, as they only work Mon-Fri. They posted out a new battery, which I received on Wednesday and that battery works just fine. I think this is excellent customer service!Overall I'm very pleased with the trimmer and I would definitely recommend it. It won't go through large branches, so if your garden is as overgrown as mine then you might need to use a saw on those, but if it does the bulk of the work and saves me from having to use a chainsaw them I'm very happy with that!

Took delivery yesterday and tried it today. I am very pleased with it so far, it is cutting my hedge with ease (except for finger thick branches - as expected). I love the cordless action, it is faily light and the battery has lasted well today.Early days, but good to date. Maybe five stars in a year's time!

Very happy with the hedge trimmer. It's lightweight, easy to use and haven't yet recharged after doing two hedges.Also, good price.

Works a treat, does exactly what it says on the tin ( pun) it's so easy to put together once you charge up the battery, it's lightweight and cuts through grasses and hedges, even thick stemmed hedging of approx 15 mm. It's easy to charge up the battery for a couple of hours or so and the bottom part slides in with a click into the trimmer machine, with a two-mechanism part to start the blades moving and cutting. Well designed and is good energy saver. Having cut through two corded electric hedge trimmers, this time i bought this one that was cordless, i think I'm better suited to a cordless hedge trimmer, this is my first buy and I'm very pleased with the performance so far with managing my gardening.

First use amazing tool, 2nd and 3rd use kept jamming 4th use still kept jamming then died in a big plume of smoke!!! Waste of money steer clear!

As someone who isn't keen on cordless tools due to some being gutless for power I have to say I have been bowled over by these hedge trimmers, I have just used them to they up some laurel and Trey did a superb job, enough power and very very sharp which is why I think they worked so well.I'd say they cut threw growth up to about the size of my little finger width with ease Trey could also manage the odd twig use size of a ring finger.They're light to use and handle very well, I did buy a second battery but didn't require it for today's job which took about 40 minutes and battery no1 was only just showing red light so had a bit left in it, I was dubious about these but would recommend them in a heart beat, glad I bought them.

A lightweight hedge cutter ok, but don’t try to cut too thick a stem somewhere like 13mm, battery life reasonable
