Fall from Grace, No longer a good work shoe
I have used this same Harrington model of work shoe for over 5 years, the first pair lasted 2 years, the 2nd pair lasted over 3 years with replacement insoles and laces. They WERE great shoes, now they are garbage! My old pair was made in China, the new shoes are made in Vietnam. The upper leathers looked to be the same, however the new pair is showing age and wear very very quickly. The rubber bottom is a complete different design than before, and doesn't look like it will last through the torture of my job. I had to replace the insoles after 2 weeks because they were literally causing me pain. The rubber bottom is starting to separate at the heal, keep in mind i have only worn these new shoes for 3 months, and they already look old. I will be searching for a new work shoe in the future.

New sole design is a disaster. Ruined the perfect all-round shoe.
I wore a pair of these shoes every day for nearly 2 years. Best shoes I ever had. Ordered two pair to "stock up" last summer. Finally broke a new pair out in December as I reluctantly parted with my old friends, now worn flat. Imagine my shock to discover that the Vibram sole of my original pair has been replaced with a Dr. Scholl's proprietary mess of a tread design. Ultra thin tread spaces fill up with pebbles, debris, dog poop, you name it. The new tread design is only good for smooth-tiled shop floors or plush carpeted nerd spaces (now with dog-poop). To add insult to injury, after only a couple months of disgruntled wear, the tread has come unglued from the sole on the right heel. The uppers are still excellent, the comfort is superb. But shoes are made for walking, and these no longer hold up. Maker tried to cut manufacture costs and ruined the perfect shoe!

THIS IS NOT THE BOOT IT USED TO BE!!!
I loved my old Dr. Scholl's Harrington boot. My first pair lasted me 3 years, second pair 2 years. They were a good looking boot, and incredibly comfortable for 12+ hr workdays spent on foot. The original Harrington was manufactured in China, but Dr. Scholl's seems to be looking for any way to cut corners and make a few extra bucks, and the new version of the Harrington is proof of that.Without updating the name, model number, or marketing, Dr. Scholl's has moved manufacturing of this boot from China to Vietnam and made subtle changes to the product while hiding the changes from the consumer. The shade of brown is brighter and redder, trying to overdo that 'professional' look. I chose the original Harrington because of it's darker shades, more subtle curves, and less aggressive business look. The original shoe was comfortable, and the new shoe seems to share the same insole and interior construction. The sole of the shoe is completely different. The new sole has deep micro grooves which will rapidly wear out. The toe area has no traction at all. As somebody who works in raftors, climbs ladders, crawls in crawl spaces, then returns to a desk in a professional environment, this new sole is not cut out for my workday. This new model may be just fine, but based on others reviews of the Vietnamese model, it seems the new boot does not last.I've returning these boots with a 1-star rating based entirely on the fact that the manufacturer changed their product without updating the product name or informing the customer that the shoe has changed. Shame on you, Dr. Scholl's.

Dr. Scholl's Quality Control is a Joke - Avoid These at All Costs
Dr. Scholl's should recall these shoes as there's an obvious quality issue. less than week of daily wear and soles on both shoes are separating and flapping around. It's probably too long to get a refund, but really disappointed with the quality of these shoes. They can't see to get quality right, which is what happens when you just license your name and have cheap shoes built overseas. In previous pairs, the eyelets have had burrs which led to the shoelaces fraying and breaking.Bummer.

Not the same quality
I've bought these for the past few years, normally having to switch them out after a year or year and a half, which is fine because of my active line of work. However, the two pairs I currently have are both separating from the sole. I will not be buying these again after they wear out, which I presume will be before winter is up.

Forget what you used to think about this shoe, they are not made well anymore!!!
They have changed the structure of this shoe. Ive bought this shoe several times in the past for my husband. The shoes are definitely not made the same as they used to be. My husband used to wear these for months before he needed a new pair, but this time it's been 2 weeks and his feet are killing him when he gets home. He noticed the difference immediately when he tried the new pair on. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your money on this shoe. Was a good shoe in the past years but now they are trash.

I tried to like these things, I really did!!!
These are some weird fitting shoes and the sole came apart on the 3rd day wearing them. I've always had a similar looking shoe but Dr. Martens which fit and feel great, my only problem with those is they always wear through on ball of my foot, usually a crack after I've worn them for about a year and the sole wears down. I thought I'd give these a try since they look similar and Dr. Scholls is known brand name. The look was great but immediately after putting them on I realized even though I got the normal width ones in a 13 they seems really wide, much wider than any other shoe I've ever owned. My feet are long but fairly narrow and I have to cinch the laces pretty tight the shoes looks weird when they're tied because its obvious my foots not filling the space. This wasn't a deal breaker and decided to keep them anyway because I can live with that, they are very comfortable and definitely look to be slip resistant but I'm not going to try and purposely slip so I'll take their word for it.The bad, and I mean pretty bad part of owning these shoes came on the 3rd day when I felt a weird feeling in the heel and realized the sole was peeling off on one of them. This frustrated me and I decided to return them and go back to a pair Doc's. I feel like I really gave these shoes a chance to be ok and even good and they failed me. I hate to say don't buy them because I'm sure not every one of them is going to have the sole peel off in the first week but I'm currently at 50% and that's not very good odds.

Great shoe!
Very comfortable - with my bunions the only shoe I have found that is comfortable at work on my feet for hours.Once they wore out however they went down hill fast and soles came apart maybe a bit earlier than I expected - the shoe was more than a year old when this happened - but it showed no significant external sign of wear (like on the sole or in the leather) when it started to come apart. But I will buy them again - for the comfort - and price value is good for that.

great shoes!
Ok shoe. Not as comfy as I expected, but a good shoe. My feet are wide and I ordered wide. Fit good. Now we will see how they stand up.Update. Not comfortable at all. They hurt my feet now only after a few weeks. Even my toes and heel burn after allday at wood working shop.Update:March 8thChanged my mind on these shoes. After I got them broke in, I find out over winter they are waterproof. I’m in construction and these shoes are still holding up great! My only complaint now is they slip real bad on ice. Other then that a great strong stand up shoe, holding up well under severe conditions.

Very comfortable
I have wide feet and a high instep and these shoes are very comfortable. They look pretty good for a work shoe. I have tried several different shoes and these are the most comfortable.
