My boyfriend and I both have occasional wrist issues, so I have been buying a whole range of wrist support devices. Of everything I have tried, these are our favorites. They are in fact so much our favorite that my boyfriend stole mine and I had to buy two more, bringing me to a total of four of these things. They give good range of motion and good stability. The comfort level is about what you make of it. Any wrist brace will get uncomfortable after a few hours. These have the hard plate in them that give them extra durability, but it can also make them feel uncomfortable a little bit faster than ones that don't have them. Overall, the velcro straps are the best part to me. Sometimes when I've been wearing the brace a few hours and start to get uncomfortable, I will either loosen or completely undo the velcro straps. This takes some of the pressure off my skin without completely losing the stability of the brace, and after a few minutes to an hour, I'll redo the velcro once I'm feeling better. Some people complained about a smell. This product, as well as most products made of similar material, come with a smell that dissipates after a day or two. It's not even a terrible smell; it's just the standard plastic-y smell you get from things like backpack inserts, joint braces, keyboard cushions, etc. It is not abnormal, it's not a reason to avoid buying it, and it's not a reason to return it. Unless someone is EXTREMELY sensitive to smell, no one should have any problems with this. The worst part of the brace is the thumb hole. It's a bit tight. It was tight on me, and I have very small hands and thin fingers. When I purchased the second set of braces, I asked my boyfriend if I should get the larger size, since his hands and fingers are quite a bit bigger than mine, but he said the small size fits him fine. While the thumb hole is tight, it loosens up over time, and he said he really didn't mind it. (Fortunately for me, the thumb hole is now stretched out enough from him wearing it that it no longer bothers me, lol) Most important of all, it DOES help our wrists feel better. They are best used for preventing wrist pain by forcing you to keep your wrists straight and develop healthy wrist habits, which cuts down on your chances of developing wrist problems. I don't wear them daily or even monthly. When I start feeling wrist pain, I will wear them for a week or two. If I start feeling better by day 3, for example, I'll still wear them for a few more days to teach my body to keep my wrists straight, because if I stop wearing them the second I stop feeling pain, I'm just going to go back to the old bad habits and end up needing the brace again for an even longer period of time. My boyfriend is very prone to this, and I have to remind him every time to wear the brace for like 3 to 5 days longer than you feel pain because it's worth the results. I'll also wear them if I am doing an abnormal task (like maybe lifting a heavy package) that puts a lot of strain on my wrists to minimize the chances of me getting hurt. In conclusion, 9/10, already did buy it again, three times over. The price value is good, it gives a lot of support and stability, and while all braces are uncomfortable, this one makes it pretty bearable. It also really helps the healing process and teaches me good habits to prevent getting hurt in the first place.

I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel and advised to do several things, one of which was getting a wrist support for my right hand. I did a lot of research before making the purchase and decided to try this product. It is exactly what I wanted. Something that did the job, day and night, of supporting my wrist at work (lots of typing) and that I could actually wear easily with an outfit that looked as "unnoticeable" as possible and was not "bulky". I got it in black and have found it is very easy to wear, is no more noticeable than a dark "glove", is easy to take on and off and to wear under jackets, etc... (not bulky. I found it is relatively small compared to other similar products so it is not awkward on the wrist. It is somewhat flexible, but keeps my wrist stable, and the adjustable velcro straps are easy to adjust for comfort so it's not too tight. Your skin can breathe well in it too. It is also very comfortable at night and light weight. I highly recommend this product. I wanted to include some other information for others suffering from a diagnosis of "carpal tunnel", in case it is useful. I was told it was probably both from repetitive finger movements and overuse (typing and drawing), but also was greatly aggravated by carrying a heavy backpack, which affected my right shoulder/lower back, which was all affecting the carpal nerves. I was advised to get a "rolley backpack", which I researched. I purchased one at amazon online (Janson sport 8) and it had made a world of difference. Why didn't I do this years ago?!! So easy. My shoulder and back pain is literally gone after a month of using it. I also switched my chair at work to one that provides support, and follow proper posture procedures (see online) and ordered a low "sliding keyboard" under my desk. keeping my legs uncrossed really helps too). Although initially skeptical, I tried acupuncture with a highly recommended practitioner. 4 treatments later, my carpal pain is about 95% gone. Which of all things worked? Probably a combination, but it is such an incredibly painful condition, I wanted to share all the things I did which have helped. Good luck!

I have carpal tunnel which sends shooting pains up my wrist. Putting one of these on stops it instantly! I recently ordered my third one as I have found them to be the easiest to use and the most effective. They are rather lightweight and breathable, so I am fine wearing one at night. I usually hand wash mine, but I have thrown them in the washer if really dirty, and they seem to survive.

I thought I would write a review after wearing two of these products, one on each wrist, for over a week, nearly 24-7. In fact, I am typing this review wearing both of them right now, and am finding no difficulty (as in zero) in doing so. First thing let's cover the "they run small" or the "get a larger size" comments on other reviews. Disclaimer: I do not work for Mueller or any other medical device company in any way. I have no affiliation whatsoever. But I am somewhat familiar with Mueller with other products I have owned, and I was happy with them, so I trusted their size recommendations. My wrists measure almost exactly 7" around, so I got the small/medium size for both sides. Now. Do they "close all the way around?" No. But, the way they are designed, they are not supposed to (see pic #1 above). They have an internal sleeve that does go all the way around your wrist, and the enclosure straps leave about 3/4" open on the side, with the sleeve being exposed - not your skin. This works great because you can tighten it as much as you want, and you are not restricted by the sides touching and preventing proper adjustment. I also find that the size fits snug on my hand, and makes it so that normal everyday activities are virtually unaffected - like typing this very review at about 65-70 words per minute (see pic #2 above). They are even comfortable to sleep in. Note: When I first got them, they almost looked too small to close - the straps were almost too short. But after a few days, the entire wrist brace stretched out a bit (as it is designed) and they fit great now. So. Sizing issues are officially debunked. They fit and work as designed. Speaking of how they work.... After a 20-year military career, my wrists are in pretty bad shape. I have Carpal Tunnel and tendonitis after a "high altitude" assignment a few years ago negatively affected my extremities. About 10 days ago, I injured both of my wrists playing basketball with a few folks much younger and more aggressive then myself, and was in pretty bad pain until I received these little beauties. First - the "spoon" or ridged frame inside the brace flexes slightly, as to make small movements possible but difficult, and is thin enough not to get in the way of everyday activities. I cannot tell if they are plastic or steel, but they feel like plastic - so they are light weight and flex slightly. For me at least, that is a positive. After 4 days of wearing them, I was markedly improved in my pain level, and after 7 days, the pain is nearly completely gone. I am very happy with how they have worked out, and will continue wearing them even when I am not in pain just to help with my condition, and because I almost do not even notice that I am wearing them anymore.

A few years ago when my twins were infants, I kept putting too much stress on my left wrist when I would stand up while holding one of my babies. At first my wrist didn't bother me too much but it got worse over the years and ibuprofen helped but not enough. My husband suggested I get a wrist brace so I did some research on here and found a couple braces that looked like they would work. I was very tempted to buy the Wellgate for Women brace but my husband and I thought the Mueller brace would be best for me, plus this particular brace is black and I didn't want a brace that would get dirty easily. Before I get into my thoughts on this brace, here are some specifications and information taken from the packaging. This brace is made in China from latex free recycled materials and is antimicrobial. The spandex binding is made from 73% recycled materials, the green lining is made of 67% recycled PET bottles (polyethylene terephthalate), and the core is made with non-petroleum based materials. Most of the brace is soft while the core (located on the top and bottom of the brace) is harder so it helps stabilize the wrist. The product care is hand wash cold and line dry/air dry. Do not bleach, iron, dry clean or use fabric softener. This brace is not reversible so you have to make sure you buy a left brace, right brace, or both if needed. This brace comes in two sizes: small/medium (fits wrist circumference of five to eight inches) and large/xlarge (fits wrist circumference of eight to ten inches). The small/medium brace measures up to six-and-a-half inches long at the longest part. The packaging states this brace is FSA eligible. I've had this brace for almost two months and found it to be very helpful with my wrist pain. I don't have Carpal Tunnel at this point but this brace is supposed to help with that as well as other wrist pain. My wrist has bothered me a couple times, either because of strain or the weather, so I automatically put this brace on and wear it as much as I can and can do most activities while wearing it. I can type on my laptop, although it's a bit harder but still manageable, play with my kids, pick up the laundry basket, and read. I take it off when I wash my hands or cook but put it back on as soon as possible. At first, I didn't think I'd be able to wear it at night but it's surprisingly comfortable! I typically loosen it up a bit when I wear it at night and it's so comfortable that I hardly notice I'm wearing it. The best part about wearing it at night is that it prevents my wrist from accidentally getting bent into an awkward, painful position so it can heal while I'm sleeping. I have small wrists so I ordered the small/medium size and it fits me perfectly. I also love that I'm able to wear it while still wearing my Fitbit Alta since both are on my left wrist. I'm not able to look at the numbers on my Fitbit but I can take off the brace and check them whenever I need to. I get some indentations on my wrist when I wear both but the Fitbit isn't painful underneath my brace. This brace is lightweight, breathable and my wrist hasn't gotten sweaty yet. I also love the liner because the brace doesn't rub up against my wrist and aggravate my skin. I'm very pleased so far with my purchase and it has helped me a lot so far! My wrist pain isn't severe at this point but I am able to manage it by using this brace. It's extremely comfortable, considering I can sleep with it on, and it isn't bulky. I am able to do most activities while wearing it and the price made this brace very attractive. It's made of recycled materials and feels fairly lightweight when I wear it. So far, I've been very happy with this brace and would recommend it to anyone who needs a wrist brace! If anything happens that changes my opinion of this brace or I have more information to add, I will update this review.

Great for carpal tunnel, sleep with it on and it takes all the pain away by morning. Im buying one for my other wrist today. Well worth the money

Product itself is as described, fits well and provides the additional stability I was looking for. However, it was clearly a returned item, as the pictures show. I don't believe the brace had been used (the only reason I did not return it), but it was in a box that had been damaged, in a plastic bag that had been cut open already. Amazon, if you are going to sell returned merchandise it needs to be advertised as such and sold at more of a discount. Very disappointing.

The product is value for money and comfortable to wear. My physio made a custom splint for me but this one is still more comfortable to wear.

This really helped keep my wrist straight and thus from pain. I have carpal tunnel syndrome, in addition to tenosynovitis - so I am in pain often. However, after wearing this for 2 weeks at sleep and at work, my pain has definitely decreased. I really like this wrist brace the best (have tried several others) because it is comfortable enough to sleep in but strong enough to keep my wrists straight. My wrists get all wonky while I sleep but some wrist braces are too bulky to sleep in. This one isn't and it's very comfortable. Plus, I like the green color in the inside which prevents coloration from sweat. Overall, great wrist brace.

My wrist used to ache a lot, especially at night, and the pain would go towards my middle finger. I’ve been using this brace and it has made a big difference for me. It’s comfortable, fits well and gives good support. I can sleep much better now. Very happy with it.
