B & M Bread Brown Plain Pack of 2, Net WT 16 0z (1 LB) 453g

B&M has been able to maintain it standards over the years. This was a staple in my house many many years ago and I was sorry to see it leave the shelves of my market and many others, I suppose.. it’s everything brown bread should be - tasty with just the right texture and the ideal amount of moisture. It is something good to have on hand, but it also makes great sandwiches for afternoon tea or is a low fat substitute for breakfast pastries. It tastes very good whether or not you put a little butter on it or some other toppings such as bittersweetheart orange marmalade.

I bought this out of curiosity after seeing a video about it. This bread is very sweet and has a muffin-like texture. Very good for breakfast or as a treat. It's moist and has good molasses flavor. I'm impressed with the estimated shelf-life with a "best by" date more than a year away. The product was also easy to remove from the can by opening both ends.

I love this bread in a can with a great taste. Mostly all natural ingredients. Has a short shelf life so has to be eaten with in a month but, B and M make good bread. Bake time is 20 to 25 minutes in oven. It does come with microwave cooking instructions as well. This came in a two can pack for a great price.

This yummy item took 3-4 days to arrive. It’s old school and as good tasting as we remembered it during the 1980s

Got these out of pure curiosity to take on a camping trip. Honestly I was expecting a lot worse - these are edible. Are they as good as fresh bread? Of course not! But it will keep for a long time without getting stale or moldy. The bread itself is sort of like a molasses bread - somewhat sweet, with almost a cake like texture. Be careful when trying to heat it, especially if on a griddle like I did. Because of the sugar content it does burn easily if you cook it too fast or too hot. On our camping trip the opinions were fairly evenly split - about half the camp didn't care for it, and about half the camp like it. Overall it was a worthwhile addition our meal that night though. I could also see it serving a nice niche as an emergency food too. After all, what other bread will keep for years?

Many years ago, I ate a lot of this bread. Something I read reminded me of it and I decided to try it again. Surprised and delighted to report it’s still delicious. Definitely going back onto the “keep it on hand” list!

Its an aquired taste but warm it right up and add some butter for an excellent companion to hot dogs and B&M Beans.

Order got a bit beat up in shipping 2 of 12 Cans dented - however product unaffected - bread is better cold with butter - strong molasses taste.
