With so few reviews I was a bit concerned about making this purchase but it arrived today and it is exactly what I was looking for. The space between the tines is perfect. There are no sharp edges and my hair does not get caught nor does it pull it out. The shorter comb I am using for dog grooming, it’s strong, the tines don’t break off like plastic combs and it’s great for getting out stickers the dog picks up running through brush. Won’t ever need to buy another comb!

My daughter and I have a LOT of long, curly, wavy hair, her moreso than me at this stage in life. These combs are standing up to the abuse very well. The teeth haven't bent or broken off, wow do they feel great on my scalp, and the combs are just so PRETTY! We got the Rose gold version. We also got a black one from another seller that is in her bathroom, they are ALL holding up well after about a month of use. No problems with the plating at all, and my set (the rose gold) are on a rough slate tile counter, and I'm a klutz who drops everything all the time, so it's not as though they're being pampered.

These combs are NOT stainless steel, they are NOT steel at all! Not even brass, they are very poorly made aluminum castings. They are mis-cast with jagged edges on the teeth and will likely cut your hair as you use it. I would also like to add that the combs I received were riddled with flaws & blemishes. I have to say this was one of the worst items I have ever received from Amazon.
