Yes! It's perfect for leveling and cutting cakes; I use mine for that all the time. It's a 12 inch blade, so if you're leveling a lot of full sheet cakes, you might want a longer one.

It’s anout 5 inches. I have little hands and it’s very comphy. I have an employee you had larger hands and she loves it as much as me! We can slice bread fast and easily. I have bought about 12 knives over the years .... all different prices... this is the only one I use. As a matter of fact I’m buying another one!
