I've been dying to try a mud mask. I've always had smooth skin, rarely a break out even in teenage years... but I was noticing my skin wasn't as smooth, even with my face products. This is an adventure! Make sure you've got a wash cloth because it's going to be challenging to rinse off otherwise. But it's very effective. It did feel like a deep clean. As I expected I did have a blemish each of the 1st two times I used it as my skin adapted to it, but it really has been a game changer & very much returned the smooth texture to my skin. On my 3rd application, my skin had fully adapted & no break outs. It's not my favorite smell, but it's not bad. I don't use the vinegar because I'm histamine sensitive, but it works just fine with only water to mix the mud. I feel like my moisturizers can absorb better since I've been using it & I appreciate that it's such an easy, effective product.

Let me tell you something. I am a male, and using facial product is not my thing. But I have one stubborn annoying area that I want to fix. I have one small area under my eye that usually red for no reason. I tried so many different products to get rid of it. It a mixture of acne and blemish. It so deeply stubborn to be get rid of. I tried the product that my mom recommend me to use since she use it on her self to get rid of wrinkles and renewing the skin. I tried it since it work so well for her. It made it worse, skin end up being flaky and spreading further. Good thing it didn't go beyond. It only spread by a few centimeter but it will be noticeable this time. After so much life long soul searching (I am kidding about the life long soul searching) since I have this problem few years ago. I found this Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. I see so many great reviews with it and just go with it. This work well with raw Apple Cider Vinegar, I recommend Bragg's brand. The reviews offer different measurement for the face mask. All you need to find the right spot. Each review have their own preference. Some reviewers like it thick, some like it thin, some like it watery. What I suggest is to do a equal part of Apple Cider Vinegar and the clay. It is thick enough at the same time, it is smooth enough to apply on your skin. If you don't like it being pastey, put less Apple Cider Vinegar in it. Stir it very well and apply it on your face. my measurement is 1 tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar and Healing Clay and it is enough for the whole face. How do I wash it off, glad you ask. Good thing I can make Healing Clay as my showering routine. I just wait to pick a time for me to shower and add the healing clay on my face 20 min before. When I am done with the Healing Clay on my face, I just drop in the shower with warm water. And I let the water spray slowly wash off the clay. Make sure the clay is not thick enough to clog the drain. You can use your hand and work on circle motion on your face gently. It will help the Healing Clay to break down in a tiny bit which will make your drain a happy pipe. The first time I applied it on my face. WHOA! it so itchy on my nose and on my cheek. I don't want to risk peeling off the clay. So what I do is just tap on the skin where it is itchy. Usually it work well. I don't know why It work well by tapping on the itchy area. You will feel the skin tightening which it is normal. the negative part is it best suggestion not to speak or move your mouth while the clay is working hard to make you look great. It is a positive thing from me since my primary language is American Sign Language which so easier to use it while leaving my face in a very serious stern look. I noticed my acne and blemish is disappearing slowly but it is working well for me. And it really help when you have a zit or a pimple with white showing. Don't pop it, just apply the healing clay on it and wait for 15 min. It seem to pull the zit and the pimple out of your face without the pitching-red-spot left over. and Wash it off, you will see the white stuff is not there anymore. It really work so well and surprised me. To be honest, I actually search Amazon for a honey face mask since I heard it have a healing properties in RAW honey that will help the skin to feel so renewed. The first page land me this Healing Clay. If you are looking for a great healing face mask without paying got expensive raw honey. Use this clay, it more cost effective. and Apple Cider Vinegar is dirt cheap in any store, usually $2. I ask my friend whom have a very oily face to try this out. And she did. It actually reduce her face from being oily. It stop for being oily for 24 hours then the oil production on her face slowly came by, but it wasn't a fast comeback. She would buy this product to help manage her oily face. My suggestion is go for the smallest size and try it out.

Then the spray (let dry) and finally the Jojoba oil. I also use the spray and oil after the mask, which heals and seals your pores. Since I've been using this routine, my skin looks luminous and almost 10 years younger. I'm not joking. I've bought the most expensive products on the market and none of them compare to these which are a 1/10th of the cost. Let me know if any of you try it. I am not too impressed with the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. I am not sure that it does a good job with deep pore cleaning. From the first use, I did not notice any significant difference in my skin's clarity and texture. It does leave my skin feeling smooth, but it does not feel nice on the skin. I think it's supposed to hydrate and moisturize my face, but again I didn't really feel a difference. It's easy to mix with water, but the results leave much to be desired. It also smells just like what it is, clay, so it feels kinda icky. My skin does not look lighter and feel tighter after every use, but your mileage may vary. If you're looking for a powerful and affordable way to detoxify your skin and minimize pores, you can give this clay mask a try.

I love this product! It mixes well with apple cider vinegar for a great face mask. Leaves my skin feeling amazing, and it helps with the dark spots my glasses leave on my nose. It's also easy to take off once the face mask is dry. I lay a warm cloth on my face and it loosens right on up.

I bought this face mask as a weekly reset to help remove buildup from makeup and oil throughout the week. The clay is a fine powder with no noticeable scent and has a muted green color. It comes sealed with plastic and a sticker from the lid to the container labeled “Calcium Bentonite Clay,” which made it feel secure and untouched. There is also an expiration date printed on the bottom of the container, which I appreciated. I mixed it with Bragg’s Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, since it helps activate the clay and balance the pH. When mixed, it does fizz slightly, which shows the reaction is happening. The application is smooth once mixed, although it can get a bit messy. I left it on for a few minutes until it started to dry, and after rinsing, my skin felt very clean, refreshed, and free of buildup. I use it about once a week to avoid over-drying. After using it consistently, I’ve noticed my skin looks smoother, and my makeup applies more evenly and looks more uniform. First, please note that this is certainly not my best photo ever taken. LOL! I actually purchased this product to use as a detox ingredient in my DIY deodorant. Whether it actually works as a detoxifier I am not sure, but I continue to use it as such. It does not irritate my under arms, nor does it necessarily help to control perspiration unless an abnormal amount of product is added. I had hoped that to be an additional benefit, but the amount needed to produce this benefit causes the product to have a lumpy consistency. It does turn my mixture an army green and I admit that I do not like this factor. Albeit, the matter at hand is whether it actually produces the results that you want. However, all is not lost. Surprisingly, the directions do not even mention this as to being used as a detoxifier in deodorant, but lists it as more of a beauty regimen product. I was rather excited, because I equated this to be a match for a high end deep cleansing mask. Ergo, Glam Glow, a very popular line at Sephora with an equally hefty price tag. I have tried Glam Glow and it did work for me. However, I feel like this not only worked just as well, but at a fraction of the cost and minus any filler ingredients. I am comparing results and not necessarily ingredient per ingredient. This product is 100% natural calcium bentonite clay (green). As a caveat, I mention my age when reviewing products so that the results are seen from a realistic perception. I am 57 and naturally expect the results to be different for someone in another age group. Also, my once very oily skin is now considered normal/oilier T zone later in the day. *My photos attached are raw, untouched and taken with an iPhone 6s Plus. Prep - I always adhere to the warning of not using any metal instruments and bowl when mixing this product. I use a plastic chop stick and a small plastic storage bowl. I used 3 tablespoons of product and 4 tablespoons of Bragg's raw Apple Cider vinegar with the 'Mother'. This made the perfect thicker consistency I was seeking, but far too much product. Next time I will try 2 tablespoons of product and 3 tablespoons of vinegar. (You can also use water, but I like to tszuj things up) Application- The mixture was thick and application worked far better with using my fingers as opposed to the brush I typically use to apply my masks. It is so thick that it completely covered my nose ring, but did not have an adverse effect on it. I left it on for about 20 minutes, as I do not have sensitive skin. Results- It did leave my skin slightly red in some areas, as the directions mentioned. My skin was so clear and felt amazingly soft and like my pores had been cleaned deeply. I had a small sit on the side of my nose and now it appears that there will not even be a sign of it left by morning. Conclusion- The jury is still out on using this as an ingredient in deodorant, but to be honest, I don't even know how I expected to know if I had successfully been 'detoxified'. As a facial mask, I absolutely recommend as long as this ingredient does not aggravate your skin. I would definitely repurchase, but I cannot imagine having to do so for a very long time. I will have to decide on the frequency of use. Perhaps once or twice a week for teenage problematic skin and 1 - 4 times a month thereafter depending on your skin type. Mature skin tends to be drier and I suspect that I will use this once or twice a month, in addition to my other natural masks. I think the combo will be perfect.

Package came on time, was nicely sealed and as expected. Cons- No real instructions on use or quantities to mix. I found equal parts of 1 tablespoon clay to liquid (either water or apple cider vinegar) to create the right amount with minimal waste. A bit difficult to remove from skin. After using 5 times the best procedure for me was to place a hot towel on my face allowing the steam to soften the clay. I did do repeatedly pressing towel firmly in small sections until mask was completely removed. ** make sure to run hot water down drain for a few minutes once complete to prevent drain from clogging due to build up. ** my face was slightly red immediately after use but it faded quickly. I think others who complain about redness are new to skin care routine and/or did not take time to prep skin properly before use. If your skin is dry it is important to spend a few days prior to use moisturizing. Using moisturizing masks and creams for 1-2 weeks prior to your first use of this mask will help eliminate excessive redness or dryness. *** this isn’t an all in one miracle in a jar. As with any product your need to invest time into prepping and maintaining your skin! If you are new to skincare routines or do not use products on a regular basis: start with equal parts water/clay for the first few uses. Then add 1/2 water 1/2 cider until you reach full cider. This may take a few weeks or month, but honestly about your prior skincare routine and the condition of your skin is paramount to the success and your happiness with this product. **** Breakouts should be expected!!!!!! So many reviews complaining that they broke out after using product. The purpose of this product is to remove toxins and buildup from the skin. The breakouts mean it’s working!!! I get facials weekly and anytime I haven’t followed my skincare routine I’ll get a few blemishes after. It is to be expected!!!!!!!! The key is making sure you have proper aftercare products to repair and care for your skin! -Pros Good value for the price Fragrance free other than the slight smell of the cider. I have used every 3 days now for a total of 15 times. My pores have almost disappeared giving me my 20 year old glowing skin❣️ (I am almost 50) I only had a couple blemishes after first use. No other reaction since. My makeup goes on smooth again with zero lines or cracking. However even without makeup-you can no longer see the pores on my nose or cheeks. This is by far one of the better purifying masks I have used. Just be honestly with yourself about your skin, expectations. Most importantly know that this is just one step in achieving your goal. Great skin takes time and work!!!!! Too many buy products and think results will happen overnight.

I bought this clay to make my own natural remineralizing toothpaste and also to use as a face mask. I bought the 2Lb version as it was better value than the 1Lb and it arrived packaged well with the clay was nicely filled up to the top. :) I think it's wasted packaging when you buy something that arrives in a big container only to find that there's a lot of 'air space'. First of all, it should be noted that this is CALCIUM BENTONITE clay, not SODIUM BENTONITE. Some other companies sell "Bentonite Clay" but on closer inspection, you'll realise it's sodium, not calcium. A lot of people may not realise this but it's important because it's the calcium version that has the healing and curative powers and can be safely consumed, hence used in toothpaste. This worked great! As a face mask when mixed with apple cider vinegar, you can definitely feel the tightening powers as it hardens and my skin was clearer, smoother and more toned after. Amazing. It also feels so good using only two ingredients with no preservatives. You don't need to use too much though- if I put on a very thick mask, it's pretty difficult to get off! In terms of the toothpaste, I think I need to find another recipe as my toothpaste tends to harden due to the cold but I want to stress that that's due to the coconut oil, not this clay. I feel really good using this clay to brush my teeth and have been doing it for a few months. I chose to use clay over baking soda as IMHO, it's less harsh and clay is very good at drawing out toxins in general. Sensitivity has overall decreased and my teeth feels clean and overall stronger and healthier. I can't think of any negatives except that it costs cheaper to get in America but that's besides the point. If you're wondering whether you should get it or not, it has worked perfectly for my needs and I highly recommend it!! And a container this big is gonna last me ages! :)

I used this to soak 5 year old autistic boys feet. I didn’t think he would at the beginning but he did and I notice we had some really calm days after and he slept well. Going to do another foot soak today. Amazingly his speech is better and he is counting and telling us colours. Not sure if it’s a coincidence but I’m impressed

I have been using this clay mask for years now and have never had any problems using it. My skin is a bit oily and the pores in my forehead and nose tend to make white/black dots. Every time I apply my mask (once a week), I immediately notice the beneficial effects it has on my skin. The face becomes silky and free of all impurities. WARNING This mask gives you a real deep cleansing! As indicated on the packaging, you will literally feel your face pulsating! This feeling is felt about 10 minutes after applying the mask! It tingles, it tugs, it acts! Don't worry, this feeling is completely normal! That said, as soon as you feel this "pulse", remember to remove your mask or your face will turn red. This redness normally disappears within 30 minutes of removing the mask. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 1) I mix the clay powder with cider vinegar in equal parts (1:1). 2) I apply the mixture on my face with a make-up brush avoiding the mouth and eye contour. 3) I leave the mask on for 15 minutes (or until I feel it "pulsating"), then I remove it with a warm wet washcloth. 4) As this mask is a bit drying to the skin, I apply a serum and moisturizing cream after use. ================= Français ================= J'utilise ce masque d'argile depuis des années maintenant et je n'ai jamais eu de problème à l'utiliser. This is my first time trying clay masks. (I started getting into skincare over the CoVID lockdowns.) I have experimented with this a lot and come to realize that it might be slightly too irritating for my sensitive skin. At least, I need to only leave it on for no longer than 10 minutes. I'll be honest, that at first, I was leaving it on for a very long time: 30, or even 45 minutes. This was too long, which i realized but I was "gung ho" or something. (Reckless!) I would try to stick to the maximum intended time of 15 minutes if you are just starting out with this. I think the long time does dry out the skin and I don't think that was ultimately healthy for my sensitive combination skin. Maybe it would be OK if I just put it on my t-zone. Anyways, what I find this really great for is for hair masks! mixing with apple cider vinegar, I put this on my hair and leave it for about an hour, then rinse out with cool water. It leaves my hair clean and extremely soft. This is especially useful for anyone looking to transition toward "No Shampoo," because I have been able to use it once every 1-2 weeks and my hair has been very clean and actually in the best condition it's ever been in, in my life. This clay is a very helpful product for bridging the transition toward no shampoo.
