PelicanStorm iM2100 Case With Foam (Yellow), One Size (IM2100-20001)

This thing has the look and feel of the real deal

I was looking for a hard case for my Steam Deck and looked through Pelican's offerings... this was the smallest I could find that would accommodate the somewhat unusual dimensions of both the Deck and its charger. There is plenty of leftover space for a future dock and possibly other accessories as well.It is quite large, overall, for relatively small contents... but I'm comfortable knowing the Deck is well protected from the elements, the case itself is fantastic and well-built. The Storm series' latches are a little unique compared to other similar cases in that they feature a button to unlock them -- when unlocked, they can be easily actuated with one hand, making opening and closing the case a breeze. They are quite secure when closed. The pick-apart foam came in an excellent size for customizing the fit (some brands use very large cuts for this, the Pelican foam was scored very finely which allows for small adjustments).I'm guessing not a lot of people will be shopping for the same specific use as me but for whatever you're looking to protect I don't think you can go wrong with this one.

Nobody sells a better case than this it's extremely durable.

I took this on catamaran boats through rain, salt water, sun, and sand. I used it as a stool, seat, flotation device (even full of gear), and laptop case for my Dell XPS 13, padded with 2 bubble envelopes. Compared to a waterproof bag, it is heavier and more awkward to carry not having a strap, and more exposed to the elements when opened. I used it as a carry on for air travel and it was nice. Compact yet accessible. Items are more accessible once opened, it lasts longer, and is more waterproof. I wish it had metal clip reinforcements on the lock holes, but I may be able to make some later. It also makes a nice case for the range -just the right size for a pistol, ammo, and protection.

You know what I'm talking about. It's a must if you live in an apartment and works very well for containing the tell-tale smell of one's stash, and being a Pelican case, has the added benefit of being lockable with up to two luggage locks. I plucked out one layer of foam and left an outer layer of foam around the inside edge to keep things from moving and banging the inside of the case when moving around.

I got this case for my Celestaire Astra 3B Sextant. I ended up using a different foam on the main compartment side and sliced off about half of the foam on the lid side to make everything fit. I also glued a pin with Epoxy onto the inside of the lid to keep the Sextant in place.Like: This is probably the smallest case I could find that fits the Sextant. It could be a bit smaller on the width or length axis but the height is a bit tight. If you're panning to use it for the same purpose then be prepared to make some modifications to the foam on the lid side (or replace it entirely).Dislike: Weight. It's heavy.

Heavier weight than I expected but I'm glad it looks well made and feels very sturdy. The yellow color is very warm and appealing. I thought the foam inside was solid and I could cut out my own compartments but it is already precut in little cubes to make it easier to customize.

This is the 2nd one of these I have purchased. I use them for hand guns. They hold 2 guns perfectly and the guns don't move around when carrying it around.

My product came with a poorly trimmed rubber gasket and has multiple areas of extra material visible (1cm thickness).The material scratches relatively easy if shuffled around hard surfaces, however not noticeable under low light environments.The cubed foam is not as precise as I had hoped, and does not have a very good asthetic when plucked.

Another fantastic Pelican case. Much lighter than any of the Protector series, and the easy-release latches are worth the extra few bucks. Drive a truck over this case, see if it cares. Pelican will forever be the standard!!

A great case but if you look closely, the lid seems to be bowed slightly on both sides where it meets the base. Others have made the same observation on their Pelican cases of this size. The pick foam is not that easy to customize. However it does the job. You can lock it too.

Great case. Built strong. I bought this mainly to use for a handgun case for a 1911. It's a little snug straight in but will fit two nicely if you put them in lengthwise instead.
