Works on Small Container Ponds
For a few years, we have been battling green water in a small container pond in our garden. The majority of solutions catered to large, expansive ponds, but we still tried them. We've tried microbial additives, algae-suppressing chemicals, and have changed out the water completely multiple times. Nothing worked. The blooms returned, usually within days. This worked! The algea was so thick that you couldn't see an inch down into the water. Looks like this stuff made the algea clump so the filter pad we use can actually catch it. After 2-3 days, I can see the bottom. Suspect it will be completely clear by the end of the week. If you are using this for a small container pond: (1) make sure you have a filter medium on your pump. If it's a basic pump, order some sheet filter, cut it to size and use rubber bands to secure it around the water vent. This product doesn't magically erase the algae, it just binds it so the filter can catch it. (2) Change that filter ever day or two. Attached photo is what my filter pad looked like 2-3 days after adding the clarifier. My little clawfoot bathtub pond is looking good again and my goldfish are so much happier and healthier.

Worksโฆ really works
This works. Barley straw did not. We have a very small pond, only about a 40 gallon capacity, which we built for a wonderful old box turtle who used to live here. I've kept it anyway because it's just such a neat little spot. No fish in it. There are some algae issues, but mostly the water just gets very cloudy and murky, even though a strong pump keeps the water moving. The directions on this product say that it will cause all the contaminants in your pond to clump together for easy removal, and it does. I use a kitchen strainer to remove them. A little TetraPond goes a long way -- since our pond is so small I use only about a tablespoon mixed in about a quart of water. I pour it in the pond in a spiral fashion, agitate it a bit with the stream from the garden hose and leave it alone. In 24 hours the water is absolutely crystal clear. Amazingly so. Clear water over pebbles and seashells is just a lovely sight, as this photo shows. There's 7" - 8" of water in the pond, but it's like the water's not even there. A tablespoon twice a week is all it takes to keep the pond healthy and looking so enticing. Happy customer.

Amazing Stuff!
Added to my very cloudy and murky outdoor pond one night and by the next morning it was crystal clear. Didn't harm my fish. It did clog my filter which I expected. Highly recommend.

Works Well in Aquariums Too!
This was used in my 250 litre tank, and it worked as described. It was much more economical to use than similar aquarium products. I have several hardy plants and lots of wood, some fish and shrimp in my tank, with 2 canister filters. This was the first time I used the product so I excercised caution, and applied only some drops in the water. I probably could have used a little more, but thought it would be wise to be cautious. What I believe is important for this product to work is to establish or ensure that your tank has a good water flow, so that once the sediments are picked up they can be "swept up" fairly easily. Happy to report that there were ZERO casualties to plants, fish and shrimp. The header for this product should actually read - TetraPond Water Clarifier Treatment, 500ml, 16.9 oz. This is not reflected so I took a chance as I had previously purchased other TetraPond products. Also the picture should reflect a green bottle instead of a white bottle.

THIS PRODUCT KILLS YOUR PRIZED FISH
First I would like to start with letting you know I am a previous Pet Shop owner in business for thirteen years. I am very educated on taking proper care of my Koi. I purchased this product to clear my 465 gallon Koi pond in which the water was discolored. My water hardness, nitrate, nitrite and ammonia levels are all correct. I have an high end filter that pumps over 400 gph and a fountain so I certainly have proper aeration and filtration. After using this product I begin losing my Koi the next day and I am continuing to lose them daily. I have lost as of today 17 smaller size Koi fish. Over the years in the Pet Indusrty business I spent thousands of dollars stocking Tetra products in my store. I had an enormous amount of regard for the fact that Tetra was a well respected line of products. I even have been to Tetra seminars at Pet Industry trade show when I owned the Pet shop. I am very distraught that I have loss 17 Koi. I have spent time taking a lot a pride in my pond and maintaining it properly. I am not at all naive of how to maintain a pond or Koi fish. I will never purchase ANY Tetra product again and I highly suggest no one ever uses this product unless you want your prize fish dying. I actually treated my pond for less than my actual total gallons because I wanted to be sure what reaction my Koi would have to the chemical. I used 1/4 cup which is instructed to use for every 300 gallons. I followed All instructions 100%! This products needs to be pulled off the shelves of all Pet Stores. I am now concerned how many more of my Koi I will lose. Only have 14 left out of 31. And no my pond was not over populated as my larger Koi was 5" and then they went down in size from that to approximately 2". Buyer be aware!!

Love Tetra products, this one did not work for me.
Took longer than 3 days on the bottle, and a little extra elbow grease, but my pond is clear again. Still orange, but the water is clear. This is the first Tetra product I am not loving. My pond was a green mess with algae and I bought the pond blocks and sludge tablets and within days the green was gone and I could once again see my fish and turtles. I was so happy, but my pond was now an orange-brown. I am the first to admit, I don't know very much about maintaining my pond, but I thought the pond clarifier may help with this and since the other products worked so well, might as well give it a shot. I followed the directions exactly. Pond has a water fall, so constant water aeration, and I went out several times to mix it up. As soon as I started pouring my clarifier/water bucket in I saw the water was turning milky white. No big deal, will wait and see what happens. The milky white eventually turned into a brownish color and stayed that way. Finally I did a partial water change and refilled. Today is the first day I can start to see the bottom of the pond again, though not cleared up. I cleaned the filters and my pump to make sure there was no debris on anything and trying to get it to filter out. I may need to do another partial water change. I am not happy with the results from this. I don't know what the issue could be, as I followed directions exactly. I am going to stick with the pond blocks and sludge tablets, they work great and I am happy Tetra makes them, I guess I will just have orange tinted water. On the plus side, no issues with turtles or fish. I have 3 turtles, 4 huge goldfish and a ton of mosquito fish, none were harmed in any way.

My pond is finally clear!
It works! My pond had a bad algae bloom. The particles were so small the filter mesh weren't catching them. Once I put the liquid in the algae started to clump together and finally get captured by my pump and filter materials. I was finally able to rinse out the green gunk! Some of clumps floated to the top and I used a fine mesh skimmer to scoop it out. I recommend you commit to hang out by the pond when you put it in so that you can be constantly skimming and rinsing your filter mesh to speed up the process. I had so much debris and gunk it clogged my waterfall filter a few times lol. So I just hung out nearby and rinsed the sponge material and put it back in the waterfall so I can continue to filter that stuff out of there. My pond is finally clear and back to normal! My pond is in full sun in the springtime before the leaves on the trees grow back. so I will now be using this product each spring to keep things clear. I have fish and tadpoles and nobody was hurt in the process!
