been using these to apply bleach to my hair at home and they held up (and clean up) well. personally I haven't noticed a difference in the soft vs stiff bristles but I'm not a pro so ymmv

Size is good. Soft bristle, brush quality is great

I got these to add to a gift basket for the young lady who's been doing my hair for the past six months. She'll be graduating next month and I wanted to fill a basket with tools and foils. These look just like the photo on the description page. Another reviewer thought they were too big but I have no opinion about them since I won't be holding them. I just know they're pretty and seem to be well make. I didn't take them out of the package.

I thought these brushes were smaller width wise than they really are but they are still totally usable and a decent quality too

I use these every time I highlight my hair and so glad I bought these over the one that came with the other kit I bought.

They do the job without shedding fibers and are wide enough for solid coverage. Expect the bristles on the white brush to immediately turn whatever color you use it with first, but I haven't seen any sign of that color bleeding back out.
