While the plastic bumpers are smaller than some, they seem sufficient to protect the fabric and you can't beat these price. I bought two boxes of these and moved all of my shorts, freeing up two drawers. They look better than I thought and it's nice to see all my shorts without having to dig through them in the drawers These also seem fairly rugged and the clamping pressure is OK to keep the utility shorts hanging while moving them on the closet rod.
