Is it amplified and does it come with all the wiring?

Its not amped, and will require a separate amp and wiring kit. I used this with the cheap $50 Boss amp on Amazon(and cheap $15 Boss wiring kit on Amazon), and it powers it well.

can it be used for home theater?

I will recommend using a 8Ohm Subwoofer for your home theater system instead of a 4Ohm. Your existing subwoofer should be a 8Ohm.

Does it come with a mounting kit?

No, I used a jumper cable & velcro and it worked perfect

Can it be used in a three seated tahoe

Great question! You can absolutely use this in your Tahoe. You will want to double check its measurements to ensure it will fit with how you have your seats arranged. That's something that's a little unique in every vehicle. You will also need an outboard power amplifier along with wiring & hardware to connect it to your existing system, if you don't already that gear. Did not show up as described ! I'm super pissed.... product was shown in an enclosed bass tube and showed up as just a speaker/woofer or whatever you want to call it. I hope I don't have to pay for shipping back!
