LG 27UL850-W 27 Inch UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS Display with VESA Display HDR 400 and USB Type-C Connectivity, White

Arrived 2 days early. I was deciding between the 35" LG UltraWide and this but decided to purchase this instead for the picture quality and the higher resolution (60% more ppi compared to the 35" UltraWide if the website I use did the maths correctly). Very easy to set up and the usb c cable supplied worked straight away with my Mac, both data/display transfer and charging. 1 minor thing I noticed out of the box is that I am unable to control the brightness and volume using my apple magic keyboard, but nothing major, just something I need to get used to using the display control. So far so good! Will update for a longer term review, but right now definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a monitor, particularly for MacBook Pro users.

Great monitor. Brilliant quality picture.

In general I'm quite happy with this product. With just one cable to my macbook pro I'm getting the whole workplace set up. Basically using it as a dock station for me Pros: - works well with my macbook pro 2017 via USB-C (one cable for video, usb hub and charging) - no problem with windows or linux over display port either - using it for office work, and it suits me well: good resolution and viewing angle, no visible flicker Cons (rather minor): - looks and feels cheap. Have a Dell at work and it has much better build quality. - overall brightness is not that high. Not a display you can comfortable place next to a window

Beautiful product - has made working from Home a game changer. It is wide enough for easily having two spreadsheets open at the same time - and looks really smart. Very pleased.

Absolutely excellent monitor. I was looking in particular for a second monitor for my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) but also one that could be used in portrait mode. This fulfils both needs very well indeed. The screen is crystal clear, iMac had no problems connecting to it (via USB-C) and the visual design is sleek and attractive. And, the design of the stand makes it really easy to switch the monitor from portrait to landscape and adjust the height. Overall, a great design.

Bought to replace a Dell 2913 which finally died on me. Presently attached to my Mac mini and an Apple TV so still two unused inputs available. Primary use is for general work. I don't game so issues such as high refresh and ghosting are of no importance to me. What I need is reasonable colour quality and crisp text and this monitor delivers. I don't like the design of the stand but it looks like using a VESA alternative would mean purchasing an LG mounting plate so I will probably just live with it. When my second Dell 2913 dies I will most likely buy another LG for consistency. Overall - recommended.

Having used this monitor everyday for nearly a week now, I can say that this is a great 4K monitor. It's not as good as my all-in-one 5K iMac was as it only has a refresh rate of 60 hertz. I would've preferred if it ran at 120 hertz, but it's still a very responsive monitor. Thinner bezels give it a more modern look and feel. Text, picture and video quality is crystal crystal clear, as you'd expect on a retina MacBook or iMac. I thought it would be a standard feature for all OLED/QLED monitors but sadly, not always the case. Sound quality isn't good but I can use my HomePod/AirPods. I use my 2017 Thunderbolt 3 MacBook Pro with it as it has a USB-C port, but I could also use it with my 2014 Mac mini via one of the two HDMI ports. I could even plug in my PS4 and/or Apple TV if I wanted to.

Satisfactory product. The screen is large and clear to read. Epic.

We have bought two screen one for each home office. It powers my MacBook pro and my wifes Lenovo laptop. We have cameras, keyboards and mouse attached to the screen so there is only one usb-c cable needed to plug in the laptop which minimizes cable clutter and makes your desktop neat and tidy. I also use the screen for my Raspberry Pi and it really works as a charm and it’s attractively priced as well.

Great monitor for home use

At first thought 4k on a 27 inch would be too small, but at 150% scaling works great, and on top of that I still make most web browser's a few % larger depending on which sites I'm using, but for 4k movies, photos, pdf documents etc the 4k works great (netflix 4k only supported with microsoft Edge). A tip that took me a few days to figure out, if you use scaling and the program you open up is fuzzy, you need to right click the program icon, then click properties, then go to compatibility tab, click change high DPI settings, click "overide high DPI scaling behavior performed by Application" then click ok and apply. For Adobe you only need to do this once, but for uTorrent, you need to do every time you open it to be clear, not sure about others yet but most programs already work with scaling including internet, videos aren't scaled, but photos are, is strange but that's life. And I am someone who previously ordered a 43" 4k monitor but had to return it because dead pixels etc. That can be used at 100% scaling but kind of way to big for 1 person but if you have ADD it would be good and you can have 4 browsers open. I thought about 32" but the one I wanted was too expensive and I don't regret the 27" at all, I just reshape the browser windows to have 2 open at a time side by side, is great, can watch youtube/netflix/etc on one side then browse/work/study on another side. I know some people think scaling wastes the 4k and turns into 1440p but all the text is a lot smother, but when you have 4k video, just go to full screen and appreciate it.
