It is definitely a genuine Apple product. The price is so low because it is SEVEN years old, even though the listing misleads you by stating that is is "Newest Version". It's still very much worth the price, but it is a $200 iPad for $200, not a $900 iPad for $200.

If I am using it for shopping, you tube, face book etc, how much do I need?

For longevity at least 64. As time goes it can slow.

It says above, "1 Lithium ion batteries required." Does it not come with a battery?

I got mine, turned it on, and it came right up. So yes, it comes with a battery.

Does it come in original packaging if you get it new

Refurbished electronics will not come in original packaging. Even the iPad Air 2 Charger was substituted for a non-named brand. I would say that if you purchase it as "brand new" then more likely it should come in the unopened-original packaging.
