I have an old BBQ grill with the cast Iron cooking grates. I got tired of cleaning these old grates. They rusted real easy. So i took a chance and purchased these porcelain grates instead. So easy to clean now. Almost non-stick, i can use a paper towel and wipe. So far so good. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Coating of ceramic was a little rougher then the original part but overall seems sturdy and heavier and thicker that some that I bought from the direct store on Amazon. Still holding up after bbq twice a week.

Although the ceramic coated grill inserts do work, they are slightly shorter than the OEM inserts do not have the small extrusion on each end that keeps them in place. Thus, they move around somewhat when cooking. The flame shields work fine although the holes are cut smaller than the original.
