Do these have a wide toebox so toes don't get squished?

In my opinion they DON’T have a wide toebox - just average sized. I usually wear an 8.5 shoe and get a 9 if I am wanting to wear socks, so I got the size 9 of these. I have average width feet to only slightly wide. These size 9 shoes are VERY snug, barefoot. I was able to barely force my feet into them while wearing a pair of walking socks, but putting the shoes on severely pulled the socks back - not comfortable to wear at all for walking with socks!

do these run small or large. conflicting reviews

I take a size 8M normally and ordered a black pair in 7.5 and gray pair in an 8. The black are a smidge too short and the 8 are far more comfortable. I still wear the 7.5, but they are running true to size. I can wear the 8's with no show socks or running socks and they are still the right size. I usually wear them with no socks. Weirdly, I do not think the black shoes are as comfortable as the grey shoes. The insoles don't feel as "cushiony". This has happened with both the 7.5 and the 8 black shoes. Odd

Why is there no size 8 in any color ?

This product can’t be ordered by your actual size. I wear an 8 1/2 and had to order a 9 1/2 because they’re size with Chinese metrics not U.S, U.K., etc. Their clothes and shoes have a tendency to fit small.

For my feet it's great, but I know that will vary with different people. If it helps, I usually wear an insert in other shoes, but I haven't had to on this one.
