Best Bang For Your Buck Backpack!
This is an amazing product to anyone who is into hiking, biking, or anyone who likes loads of space to store things. If I could use one word to describe this backpack it would be: Versatile. Not only does it keep you hydrated, but it gives you enough space to bring plenty of things with you. I am a hiker and I took this thing on a ten mile hike and brought a ton of stuff, and I had no issues finding space to put things. It has all kinds of compartments to put your keys, phone, food, cloths, towels, ect. You name it, and it can most likely fit. I am use to using the brand Camelbak and the one thing that I would save they do better then Teton is their bladders. The bladder itself on this pack is not even close to the quality on my Camelbak, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't consider this. I want to remind you that this is still half the price as my Camelbak, and you could buy a replacement bladder for cheap if you want. One last thing to mention, this pack is comfortable. I actually wore it all day shirtless and it didn't bother me, it actually was rather comfortable. I strongly recommend this pack to anyone looking for a perfect hydration backpack. Especially for the price of this one, its an absolute steal!

This backpack is fantastic, buy a separate bladder
I bought this specifically for the backpack to ski in (so far have skiid for a week straight with it). I've had multiple wipeouts on steep terrain and the backpack doesn't have a scratch. Super water resistant and stays dry. I'll be using it all winter for skiing. It holds a lot of stuff, can even fit sandwiches, water bladder, flask, wallet, headphones, etc. It's not heavy and perfect for skiing so I imagine it will be great hiking. The chest straps I think are the most important and helpful feature. It's a big reason I bought it. The good reviews spoke the truth. I will say though, if you fall and the strap clip gets snow/ice in it and freezes, it's impossible to get off until it melts. That happened to me. As for the water bladder that comes with it, I've bought separate better ones. this one is a bit cheap, isn't as easy to suck out the water, and it leaked a fair bit. Yes, I made sure everything was put together right. Lower quality water bladder, high quality backpack. I wish I could've paid less for just the backpack. I recommend buying a separate water bladder with good reviews on amazon. We like using the Hydration Bladder 2 Liter Leak Proof Water Reservoir, Military Water Storage Bladder Bag, BPA Free Hydration Pack Replacement.

Great budget friendly option, Great Teton service
I bought three of these for my full sized teens for hiking trips. The bag is durable, light, comfortable, and has good organization. Lots of room for extra gear and snacks and you could even carry an extra bladder or water bottle for longer hikes. I wasn't sure about the bladder and tubing at this price point. Two of the packs were great and worked well, felt durable. One bag leaked somewhere in the bladder/tube connection. We couldn't find the actual source, but I contacted Teton, and they were awesome; quick replies and they sent me a new bladder once I sent some pics. I would recommend this bag and this brand to anyone looking for a great product on a budget.

Great hydration backpack, but...
*** This review is 100% legit, based on my experience with the product. I paid full price for the product and no one offered me anything to go in favor or against the product. No incentive was received for writing this review or purchasing the product. *** Looks: 1 star. Dimensions/Weight: 1 star. Manageability: 1 star. Durability: 1. For the rest of this review, I will be comparing this product against the "High Sierra Piranha 10 Hydration Pack." The water bladder of this product is a serious business. I love the wide cap that secures your water in, not as the competition which provides a solution that to me it looks and works as a Zip Lock bag. I tested both bags, filling them at full capacity and laying them down horizontally. Although the instructions on both products clearly state that the water bladde must remain vertically at all times, this does not reflect real life situations, so I had to do the horizontal test. This product passed the test with no spills, but the other spilled in less than 3 minutes. When talking about the water tube connector, this bag offers a superb solution. You have to actually screw the connector until you actually see the indicator falling into place. The other product you just push the tube in... I know that in a rush, the tube can be pulled abruptly by mistake, and this will leave you wet and thirsty. The mouth piece of this one is awful, horrible!!! Sucking water gives me a pain on my jaw and throat... You have to really put some effort on it. It gets worst the first time when you fill your water bladder... You have to suck all the air from tube for a while, until you get your water. The competition brings and effortless and painless solution. Their mouth piece is really awesome! Their solution is a mouth piece that you bite with your front teeth to open the water flow and then you suck your water. It always gives you the correct amount of water. But both manufacturers failed in something... The mouth pieces have no protective caps. The mouth pieces are exposed all the time to the elements when not in use. Horrible design, from both manufacturers. You guys should come with a cap or protection of some sort for the mouth pieces, because all the dirt particles from the air and other stuff get stick to it and we swallow those when we use your products. The mouth pieces are always contaminated... I use these back packs in the city, not in a forest where air is cleaner, so this is a big no no for me. The size of the back pack itself is great, offering some room for storing stuff like snacks, a small umbrella, a thin jacket, 1st aid stuff, etc. It also has a small emergency whistle on one of the sides, on the buckle... Nice little touch! And it comes with a rain cover too (I have not figured out of it is a cover for the head only or the back pack itself.) Construction materials of this back pack seem of high quality. I would say that this product will last a year or longer without tearing or breaking apart. Bottom line... I will be returning this product because of the mouth piece and ducking water issues. I just wish I could keep the back pack, but both the competitor's mouth piece of the water bag.

A good bag and a good bladder. But it's let down by the pipe which kinks easily and the bite valve which is fiddly.

I’ve used this backpack several times since I received it, and it’s really terrific. Easily the best hiking gear that I’ve ever bought. It’s perfect for the one day hikes, holding all the stuff you would need, snacks, keys, wallet, lunch, extra clothes, whatever. Excellent design with side pockets and a few zip slots on the front. It also has this great feature with one pocket section that folds down, and you can strap in a bigger item, like a jacket, towel, or blanket behind it. All this while having water to sip on the whole time. My girlfriend recently bought the Teton hydration pack (without the backpack part), and we found it was too difficult to share water, and not enough storage area for our day-trip stuff. This product easily solved the dilemma, now we bring both. A very well thought-out product, even the little details like a grab handle on the top, insulation panels around the water bladder, and mini pockets within some sections make this a five star product for me!

pros: -very good build quality compared to a lot of other packs at this price range. -zippers are fine, you just need to get used to it. Zip/unzip it from an angle so the fender doesn't get in the way. -comfortable and good looking. -good water bladder pocket design with the leak hole and waterproofing. -has built in rain cover. cons: -very narrow, much more narrow than what the pictures make it seem; can't even fit the width of a standard 3 hole binder, and will barely fit softcover textbooks if you have it sit in there bent. -low main pocket capacity. the verdict: If you're a student, and/or someone on a budget who wants a "real" hiking bag that's also capable of carry everyday items, this bag is not for you, it's way too small. For the same money, here in Canada, at Mountain Warehouse, they have packs that are large enough for everyday use, and still have all the standard day hiking pack features (not the rain cover) without sacrificing build quality it feels like. I should have bought it from there if I knew sooner. MEC has packs in this price range that fits this "everyday use" criteria as well, but must worse build quality and looks.

Great product! Ordered it for a 10+ hour adventure race and was so useful! Perfect size to hold all my nutrition and gear. Rain cover works very well, all the little handles are thoughtfully placed to hold or clip gear to in the spots where you intuitively need them. The hydration bladder worked very well too. Would definitely recommend this to a friend and I’ll be using it for all my mountain biking and hiking adventures! Also - I needed it before the set delivery date, so contacted the company and they made sure I had the pack the week (or maybe even 2) before the race! Solid customer service! 👏🏼👏🏼
