As it happens, this is the king-sized version of a twin blanket I had bought at Target about 5 years ago and been looking for another one every August since (they carried them during the time U.M. students are furnishing their dorms). When I saw this one it seemed to be the same weave as the one I have and I rushed to order it. You can't imagine my delight when it turned out to be an exact match, just larger.For me, in Miami, it is the perfect blanket. It never makes me feel too hot and it blocks the wind of the ceiling fans we use year round. The king size is perfect because, although before my husband preferred to sleep without a blanket, he has changed his mind.The blanket I have had for over 5 years has served me well. The fact that it is a sort of open weave does mean that it sometimes snags on something and a thread is pulled. It launders well and has only gotten more confy with time. Unfortunately, it has also gotten a little ragged. Between the accidental snags and the fact that my grandson absentmindedly pulls on any loose threads while he's watching TV on my bed, the poor thing is not in very good shape. Nevertheless, I had never found anything I wanted to replace it with.As soon as I recover from my Christmas expenses, I plan to buy and store a duplicate.

I'm ambivalent about this blanket. When I ordered it, I really needed a blanket. So when it arrived looking thin & flat and with a long loose string that would result in a hole immediately, I overlooked it, reweaving & knotting the thread & hoping the blanket would plump up after washing, which it did. But when I placed it on my bed & there were a couple more loose strings & a huge flaw that ran from the top to the bottom almost in the center of the blanket, it was clear to me this was not a first-run product. I contacted Amazon customer service & sent them pictures of the flaw. They responded immediately in a courteous & helpful manner, bolstering my confidence in purchasing from Amazon - I really couldn't be more pleased.The replacement is a much higher quality product. Right out of the package, it looked plump & had no major flaws. It adds warmth but feels almost weightless, making it very comfortable to sleep under. My biggest concern is about longevity. It is pretty thin, & the weave is loose, so I don't think it will last that long - only time will tell, & for now, I'm enjoying it. However, I won't purchase another, & for the price, I think there may be better options available.

When I was looking to purchase a blanket on Amazon my qualifications were that it was cotton and lightweight. I looked at and went through the reviewed of dozens of blankets searching for something that looked like it was of a good quality and suitable for warm Arizona nights.The blanket arrived awhile ago and I have used it for several days now. When you open the packaging you will notice several loose threads. It is not of the highest quality and it does not appear it went through a rigorous quality assurance process. Other than the dozen or so loose threads it is a good blanket, comfortable, cotton, and lightweight which is perfect.You could get a worse blanket for this amount of money. 3 stars for the overall quality and time spent "tying up loose strings."

The blanket is a nice light weight for cool weather in Florida. I am very pleased with the width and length of the blanket. It is very generous on both sides of our king size bed as well with the length. My husband and I don't have to fight for cover and it stays tucked in at the end of the bed. Can't beat the price, either.

I washed before use in cold water- low dry. It left tons of lent in dryer vent so make sure you clean it out afterwards. And it left lent all over my dark blue sheets once it was on the bed. It is very thin and snags easy. But it will work for the spare bedroom between the top sheet and bed cover. I have since washed it again and still lent in dryer and on my sheets. Over all I would not buy again but it will serve it's purpose in spare room, but I would not buy for our master bedroom.

The color is excellent, and the blanket is warm, soft, light and comfortable. I washed it before putting it on the bed, and had a very full lint trap in the dryer, but that does not seem to have affected the quality of the blanket. It is even an identical match to the sheets I bought from Amazon last year. I wouldn't have called this color 'ivory.' The closest I can come to describing the color is melted butter with a hint of cinnamon blended in. It isn't beige, it isn't yellow, but it is in between and quite nice.

Fits over sized king mattress bed well. First wash produced quite a bit of lint in the dryer and one tiny snag that I clipped off. There was no shrinkage. The weight is good and materials are fine, not the most high-end but certainly not bottom of the line either. Good value and we like the breathable weave and will use the blanket all year long.

Upside: Wonderful quality, very thick and super soft.Downside: Difficult to change positions at night, somehow cotton PJs stick to them. Strangest thing ever...Overall: Sleep in the buff if needed (kidding) these compare to some $$$ brands I've purchased. Ordering a spare set ASAP!!
