Is the watch genuine

If you buy it from our store, it is genuine. Selling replicas within the EU is strictly forbidden by law, and we would never engage in such activity. However, there is something that I like to mention regarding this: In general, it does not make much sense to sell replicas in this price region, wherefore the number of fakes in the market is actually by far lower than most people believe. For us it is just quite an issue if someone takes the watch they bought from us to a local retailer in order to verify the authenticity, as they usually hate this kind of procedure. For a local retailer we are basically a threat, selling the watches at a big discount, and in some rare cases the retailer would say something like: "to me it looks fake, you never know", or other things that would set our customer off. And even if it's only two or three cases a year, it is always a huge trouble for us to convince our customers in this case that the local retailer is doing these things on purpose. The last case was that a customer said, the local retailer mentioned "it says stainless steel on the case lid, this shouldn't be". This was basically a huge joke, because it infact has to be mentioned for people with allergies, and on the official homepage you can see that it's perfectly the case for any model. It took us no less than a full day to convince the customer, and after all, it was a terrible experience for our customer. So yes.. for us this is a huge issue, and the few cases where this happens always cause lots of trouble for both, the customer and us. That's why we try to inform as much as we can about possible issues like this up front. So therefore, in case you do not trust our offer, or in case you have severe doubts, we would suggest you check with a local retailer in order to have a better feeling about your purchase. We want our customers to be satisfied with their purchase, and we would rather have sold a watch less than to have a customer who is highly unhappy with his/her purchase. Don't know I haven't needed to have a new battery yet. Just take it to a jeweller.
