VViViD Hex+ Air-Tint Light Smoke Headlight Vinyl (17.9" x 60")

Installed it on my Model Y and it looks awesome! It is not easy but also not too difficult to install, just need to order extra and experiment it a bit. For me, the 18"x60" size is good enough for all the headlights, fog light and tail lights. You might want to order extra, just in case you messed up while experimenting it. You will need a heat gun but don't overheat it. Once you get a hand of it you can try to stretch it more. The material is thicker than other brand I think but it became soften very easily. The pictures shown the halfway done work so that you can compare the differences. Excuse for the dusty look as it just went through a snow storm.

I wanted a film to just tone down the tail lights of my car a bit. This film was fairly easy to install and seems like good quality, but to call this a "light" smoke is a bit misleading. I measured it at 40% Visible Light Transmission (VLT) so it's blocking 60% of the light coming from your tail light lamps which may get you a ticket. As for the daytime look, remember that it's cutting 60% of the light as it goes in and 60% AGAIN as it reflects out of the housing, so the tail light looks 84% darker that normal. That's practically black and just didn't look good on my car. I wish they made a 70% VLT version of this, I think that'd be about perfect. The product itself is great! I dropped it one star only because one roll was exactly enough to do both headlights or both taillights. The issue is the sticker used to hold the roll together leaves goo on the tint. Cutting that small part off doesn’t leave me enough. I tried goo gone and it didn’t really help. I just wish it would have been packaged differently with wide rubber bands or something that wouldn’t leave a mess on the tint when unrolling it. Other than that I was very happy with the product.

I found this product pretty easy to work with for a first timer. I'm very particular about my car and do all my repairs and such myself so I was glad this product was nice and neat to install. No water or solutions needed. Just a heat gun and a felt scrapper card, I ended up removing my taillights to do this install but I'm sure it will look just as good and quicker with them staying on the car. It makes the lights darker but not so dark u can't see them when turned on they are a dark cherry red when no light is shining. That's one thing I took into consideration strongly and am so happy with the way they turned out. Deff one of my favorite mods! It's been about a month or 2 since install and they still look good after maybe 4 car washes. If installed right I'm sure they will last a long time

I made a animated 4' 3d printed clock for work and realized I had too much white. This tint was perfect! It toned down the white areas and looks hi-tech with the hexigon print. See before and after.

Layed nice no air bubbles then Sun came out and it bubbled bad Purchased again to apply during summer and it bubbled on a 80 degree day ?!? Only good for the winter months in Cali?

Very easy to work with. Got this link from a Ckwraps video. The Hex pattern is very subtle and only apparent close up >4'. Not as nice of a finish as wet application film, BUT it gets better as the air release channels fade. (Reviewed one week after installation and already looking better) Knifeless tape works well on it. Clean and prep well and its pretty easy, don't over heat. This in light smoke is a decent compromise between: Not so dark you get pulled over and Still dark enough to look modded and classy. Most the VViViD stuff from amazon is meh, this is decent product.

Easy to install, fast shipping only hard a small issue with a slice in the material upon receiving from factory. Had to remove a foot. But looks awesome. Video out there with CK Wraps using this material for headlights FYI if help is needed. Added a picture of one side tinted so people can see what it looks like.

I did my install myself and I was quite impressed with my own results. it's quite easy to work with. Plus, there are loads of vids online to show you. Shout out to Christian at CK Wraps - he's a wizard with wraps and explains quite thoroughly. You'll see in the videos there are a couple of handy tools worth having that you can either pick up on here or buy elsewhere and they do make the work easier. I will admit that I did redo a couple sections over time, but luckily there was more than enough material to do it again. The price was great when I bought and the shipping is top notch, since a tube or film could get crushed. It comes well protected and ready to go. I had never heard of VVIVID before seeing CK Wraps' videos but I'm glad I learned about them as the fit and finish are just outstanding. I wasn't sure about this new HEX+ pattern, but after installing it I'm sure glad I did. It's really subtle and doesn't stand out from afar but if you look closely you see the pattern. Highly reccommend!

hard to install if you want it to be perfect, this is not the manufactures fault. the product is just slightly difficult to manoeuvre and perfect seamless adhesion without a heat gun, the gun helps the film stretch and provides extra adhesion. aswell the heat gun shrinks the edges down right once applied and the excess is cut off then tucked. overall great product, let's 99% of factory light through while being nice and smoky.
