Mineralizer for Gravity- Feed Steam Iron

I have a wonderful gravity-feed steam iron I bought from WAWAK. When I wanted to purchase a replacement de-mineralizer, I found the shipping to be more than the de-mineralizer itself. So of course I turned to Amazon. Found this brand, on Prime so no shipping, and bought a bunch so I would always have it on hand. My last batch lasted about a year and a half before it wore out, so I expect this one will last about the same. I do have to wonder how old it was when it arrived, since some of the crystals inside the plastic bag it arrived in are already turning amber. Maybe that's the way they always are. I always use either filtered water (using a PUR filter) or distilled water in my iron, so I expect the de-mineralizer lasts longer that way. You can use regular tap water, too, though the directions on the iron state that the de-mineralizer will need to be changed out more often if you do.

The media could not be loaded. Never used from this company , I’m very happy it’s been more than a week now and still the same color , I’ve used others brands filters and turn yellow with the first use

The price was right! Ordering was better than calling store to store to see if they carry it. Depending on where an individual lives, most places do not even carry the irons!

It seems to work well. I’m not having any problems with the iron (it’s been a year), steaming very well, water (steam) is clear, no leaking so I give it a 5 😊.
