***UPDATE***I have been going back and forth with Aardvark Trading and they have been very helpful. They verified that the XL chaps do not have the second set of stitching. They even sent a photo from their warehouse of another pair of chaps to verify. In the end, they offered to exchange if I was still not satisfied. Overall my experience with Aardvark Trading was very good.As for the chaps, I am satisfied with everything else except that the stitching is missing from the crotch. I had purchased the chaps after borrowing a pair of my friends (which have the stitching) and because I thought that would be a nice feature. In the end it's just another lesson in online purchasing where you put your trust in the photos and what you receive is just a little different. So just a heads up the XL chaps will not come with the stitching.**ORIGINAL REVIEW**WARNING!!!! The pair of chaps that I received is missing the second set of stitching in the crotch. The stitching should be located above the thigh buckles and below the waist belt. This stitching is present in every photo you find of the product. A friend of mine also has a pair of the full wrap chaps and his have the additional stitching so I know that it is not a case of an old photo. See the attached photos for more detail. The stitching appears to give the chaps the full crotch protection per the Labonville site description. With out it seems to only cover the upper thighs and both sides of the waist. Also this product does not come from Labonville but Aardvark Trading. I have a message to Aardvark asking if the pair that I received is intended to not have the stitching there. I am waiting on a reply and will happily change my review depending on the outcome of our discussion.PS hopefully my case is an isolated instance. If you choose to still purchase a pair of these chaps, the sizing description from other reviewers is pretty accurate. I ordered the XL and typically wear a 32" inseam. The length of the chaps came down just over my boots.

Quality chaps
I first learned of Labonville from logging talk forums. I hit my leg with my chainsaw while wearing Husqvarna apron chaps, which stopped the saw cold. So I ordered the Husky Pro full wrap chaps to replace them. I didn't like the buckles or how they hung around the waist, so I returned them and ordered these. I should have listened to the pros the 1st time & ordered these chaps. Very high quality and well made, especially the buckles. These chaps are A+++. Plus made in the USA. When ordering, I followed Labonville's directions on measuring, & I measured exactly 36" from top of my belt to my instep. Others have said to order the next size up, since they contour you legs, actually making them wear shorter. I ordered the XL (40") & they fit perfect. Maybe an inch too long, but the 36" would have been too short. I'm 5'10" with a jean inseam of 30". I wear my jeans normal (not hanging off me). I buckle the chaps just above my belt line and they go to the top of my instep. If you like them to the top of your boot, order them from whatever measurement you get after following their instructions. I like mine right to my instep (keeps the boot laces cleaner and provides a little more protection). I recommend that if your measurement is one of the sizes (or an inch or so longer), order the next size up as I did. If I measured a 34", for example, the 36" probably would have been fine.

I like them, I feel like they'd definitely protect me
The quality is apparent when you first feel them. I'm 5'10" and have 32 length pants I bought the x-long so that they would cover the tops of my boots so I wouldn't get saw dust down there. May be just a bit too long but not sure if the next length down would be too short. I like them, I feel like they'd definitely protect me. They came fast. I'm just a landowner and spend a few hours a week chainsawing and I think they'll last me the rest of my life unless the bad happens then I'd buy the exact same pair.

outstanding quality
I'm 5-10 with 30" inseam. I followed the above advice and ordered the x-long(40") and they are perfect length with the waist band worn just above my beltline; the regular(36") would have been too short. If you intend to wear them with the waist band below your beltline then the 36" might be better? These chaps are of great quality and are USA made; nice 2" waist band belt and mid-thigh retaining straps. See the below link to a video on testing chaps with contact with running chainsaws - incredible protection! Very quickly shipped from Labonville.[...]

Buy It!
Seem to be of good quality and have held up very well so far. I am very pleased and most likely will order another pair for my father who cuts trees down on most weekends. They can be a little warm in the summer months but it sure beats a trip to the ER or a missing limb!

Should have bought this before
I have a few hours of wearing these chaps and so far they have worked out pretty good. I had a minor "accident" (no such thing) 27 stitches, this summer. Now I wear these when I use my chain saw. I'm 5'10, 30" inseam and I bought the XL 40" like JH2210 did. Don't wait till you have a problem like me.

Bought these for our son, who uses a chainsaw to manage the trees on his property. Great product -- no one who uses a chainsaw should be without this.

I like them, but a tiny bit short.
Nice product and I hope I never find out if they work or not. I tad bit short but I wear 36" length pants. They seem like good quality.
