Works perfectly
Bought this to maintain the six 8v batteries in my club car golf cart. I still have my 15A charger for that cart and I do use that for the bulk of the charge but I tend to stop that bulk charge early now and just let this maintainer top the batteries off. So far, this maintainer has done its job flawlessly. It trickle charges up to ~53.1 volts and then holds the voltage at that exact level with a float charge. I've observed no outgassing or bubbling of the batteries and all six 8v batteries seem to have matched voltage now. This unit appears to charge at ~2 amps until it reaches the float voltage and then shuts the cooling fan off when it hits the float charge (so don't worry if the fan isn't running all the time). Yesterday we even took the cart out for several miles, probably burning about 30% of the battery capacity. When we got back, I didn't even hook up the bulk (15A charger). I went straight to this maintainer and it had charged the batteries fully when I woke up (about 12 hours later) and the batteries were floating at the exact 53.1v level as always. This thing really seems to work and can even provide a real full charge. Only time I might not use it is when I know the batteries are very low: then I might use the big charger first to get them up to maybe 70% before switching over to the maintainer. If this thing is durable and lasts, it is HIGHLY recommended! If not, I'll be sure to update this review since I've only had this unit about a week now and have only used it for a few charge cycles. I can tell you that I bought another (much larger) golf cart battery charger/maintainer that cost about 4x what this unit costs and that other more expensive one wasn't as good/accurate and burned out after just a few months. Given my limited experience with golf cart battery maintainers, that makes this one even more impressive.

Works for me so far
This was purchased in order to maintain our golf cart batteries while away for the summer. I wanted a way to keep the charge up without overcharging for long periods away.So far the pros are that the price was reasonable in comparison to others with similar ratings and after trying it out a night, it seemed to operate as advertised. The only negative at this early stage is the cord length for the alligator clamps could/should be 12-18 inches longer. The unit barely extends beyond the cart so I had to use a bucket turned upside down to rest it on. That extra length would have made a big difference. The fan ran while the charge light was yellow and shut off when the charge light turned green as it should. I’ll monitor this over the next week and then again when we return to our cart in September. I’ll also update this review if anything should go wrong.

Exactly as Described
Bought to maintain (only) batteries in our golf cart. Will be using it while cart is stored in AZ summer months as we are snowbirds. Tested it several times. Works as described. Hoping this will be the "ticket" to our fall return and NO dead batteries. Light weight, easy instructions, good brand

Working Great
I bought this to maintain the batteries on my golf cart. I have only been using it for a few weeks but so far it has done great. I use the main charger on the golf cart to charge the batteries after each use. Then connect the maintainer to keep them fully charged until the next time I use the golf cart, usually about a week later.

Excellent 48V golf cart battery maintainer
Works as described, have been using it for about a month now and it's been keeping my batteries maintained to full charge, only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because it was a little pricey, but if it saves me from having to buy more expensive golf cart batteries, I will update this by the end of this year to five stars ! Great machine highly recommend.

So far, so good
So far great. Product is well made. Much more rugged than other cheap chargers. This is probably my third charger for my golf cart. Others I have bought didn't last or failed to maintain charge. My situation is a little out of the norm. I replaced six 8v cart batteries with four twelve v deep cycle marine. The original charge wiring has been removed and charger connected directly to batteries. That may be why chargers fail. This charger is not fast. Half charge goes to full in about eight hours.

must have if you own an electric 48 volt led acid golf cart
If you have a 48 volt led acid golf cart and ever had a dead battery then you need this. In colder climates this will keep you batteries charged all winter long. will also bring back batteries that are dead and will not charge with golf cart charger.your golf cart Led acid batteries must have a 50% charge for you golf cart charger to work. replacing dead batteries would cost around $800 the dealer told me to buy this instead of replacing the batteries and it worked great.Last I will leave you with this spend the money and buy lithium ion batteries you can run them down to zero and the will last the winter
