Great book.

This book, billed as "a playful companion to Together in Rhythm" is jam-packed with musical/theatrical exercises and games. If you are a performer or a facilitator of musical or theatrical workshops (for both adults and kids), this book and the slightly more theoretical Together in Rhythm are a great resource. The CD is handy too. Teachers will like the "teaching outcomes" sections, performers can get lots of ideas to integrate into participation-style numbers and workshop leaders can get detailed instructions on how to structure a game and what equipment may be needed. Highly recommended.

I teach elementary school music and there are many easy and interesting ideas for use in the classroom. You do need a decent assortment of percussion instruments to run the lessons. I like the extension ideas for each game as well - it caters for all abilities.

This handy guide is full of activities that can be used by drum circle faciltiators and music educators. A great complement to Together in Rhythm.
