I loved Rose and Jack
That medical curveball was crazy! But they needed that, however unexpected it was. I was kind of bummed when the truth came out. He just seemed like a strong, formidable force and lawyer, I thought he would handle Josh and her cousin a different way. Him paying them was a disappointment to me. I thought he’d either destroy them in court or deal with them violently, lol. I def didn’t expect him to have paid the ex. I was thinking the cousins found out about the will and the female cousin lured Josh away so Rose wouldn’t get anything in the will.Anyway, despite my predictions and how wrong they were, I loved Rose and Jack. He went from no emotions, no talking, to the perfect husband.

slow burn
Slow start but once it gets going it GETS GOING. I think it needs a better cover to attract more attention because it is a really good book!! that I had to force myself to start and continue reading as I wasn’t pulled in by the cover and was going based off of recommendation.

It could've been better...
🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧⭐⭐💫 Where's the Plot StarsI'll start by saying that I really liked To Love Jason Torn and that I loved To Hate Adam Connor. With that out of the way, I"ll say that I can't see this book as something written by the same author. Not exactly anyway...The book starts when they're getting married at a court house, with she internally freaking out cause she barely knows him. Afterwards he says that it was a mistake and disappear for more than a week.I was so confused that I restarted the audiobook and even checked the ebook to see if I was missing a prologue or even any kind of introduction of the whys or the whos.More than half of the book consists of she working at her coffee shop, while he follows her around being cold and grumpy, while still helps her with everything she may need. It's weird cause you don't know until the end, why he really wanted to marry her.It was not an arranged marriage, but an instant proposal and acceptance. There's obviously more to it that I'm not saying, but my point is that when the twist that would answer the why finally arrived, it was too late in the story and honestly, too lame.It would make more sense if he had told that he did it all for love, even if it would also be stupidly cliche, than the reasons why he proposed a woman that didn't even knew him. There was little to no plot at all.It was cute to see them falling for each other, she helping him to be a civilized man and he offering her the family support that she never had. I really liked them as a couple. Somewhere along the way, I started to warm up to them, and I was definitely swooning over Jack running through the Central Park to save Rose.As a romance, it was sweet even if too long and slow. But as a thick book, I wish there was more depth to the story. The narration was decent and helped me to finish the book... I would probably be bored if i was reading it.

Absolutely fabulous slow and simmering burn romance
I became a huge fan of Ella after I read ‘To Love Jason Thorn’ and after that I had to stalk this author and read and listen to all of her books. So when I found out her new book was coming soon . I was over ecstatic and this book checks all the boxes for what I had expected from Ella Maise -✔️Page Turner✔️Eloquent Writing✔️Captivating Plot✔️Relatable Characters✔️ Slow Burn RomanceThis book was beyond my expectations and the story and characters were truly mesmerizing and left me in awe. It’s a slow burn romance which kept me enthralled and flipping through the pages . The characters and their chemistry was pouring through the pages ."I want to be that person to you, rose. I want to be the person you lean on. You and I, we're the same. We have no one but each other. You'll lean on me and I'l do the same. We'll learn how. we're in this together..."Jack was like no other characters Ella has written previously. He was this enigma and a mystery. A perfect male specimen who I wanted to study in depth under a microscope. He had this untouchable aura around him. With his frowns and arrogance his character attracted me to find more what he was really about. I wanted to peel layers off him to find out the real Jack."My husband was perfect. With all his arrogance and prickliness, Jack Hawthorne was perfect for me.He wasn't what I'd had in mind or even what I'd wanted for myself, but he was perfect and already mine, truly mine. There was no doubt of that in my mind..."Rose was this breath of fresh air. The book was honestly sooooo soooo good and Jack totally kept me hooked with his mysterious aura . This is a slow burn romance and though I am not a huge fan of slow burn romances but this book was sooo good with its beautiful writing to mesmerizing characters. One of my favorite books from 2019.I wish Ella won’t make her readers wait another year for us to savor and indulge in her beautiful story. I can’t wait for the audiobook to be released. It would be a treat to listen to Jack & Rose’s Story. Ella know how to take her readers by surprise and keep them hooked from the get go and this book will surely keep you hooked. Definitely a must read and I highly recommend this book. Best Slow Burn Romance of 2019 and surely not to be missed
