I've been looking for a messenger bag for work for several weeks now and settled on this one, because the price was right for my budget. I knew it wouldn't be Fossil or Kenneth Cole quality for what I paid, but I don't even feel like it's worth over $20 bucks and just don't feel comfortable keeping it. The bag smells terrible, but that's something I know it would lose over time and decided I could live with that. The buckles are cumbersome to fool with, but you can still use the shoulder strap without them locked in, so I decided I could live with that. It has several compartments on the inside for separation, pens and other work equipment so I could definitely live with that.What I can't live with is the fact that the "leather" is peeling on the main part of the bag and under the flap. That's the nail in the coffin for me, because that makes it very apparent how easy the bag will be to damage. It wouldn't be able to take light to medium usage, much less what I would dish out on it going to and from work. Another thing that worries me, is how the extensions on the bag are glued and stitched on. I went to pull one of the straps and was a little uncomfortable with the sound it made as it came unglued a bit. That makes me petrified to put my Macbook or iPad in this bag. I'd be constantly paranoid that the strap would come undone at either attachment to the bag and my *very expensive computer and tablet would go crashing to the ground (P.S: I'm not bragging. They were both gifts from my mother and are VERY dear to me. The thought of some cheap bag that I bought being the reason they break gives me freaking hives).I've never been this disappointed with an item I've ordered off Amazon. I'm not a picky person (especially when it comes to fashion) and I'm not hard to please. So you can trust me when I say this bag is pretty much garbage. It 'looks' good, but like another one star reviewer said, the thing isn't likely to last over a year before it falls apart. I have NEVER returned anything to Amazon, but there's a first time for everything.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband for his birthday, it arrived okay, everything looked good and he loved it. But less than 2 weeks with it and one of the rivets holding the top handle on has popped out :-( I'm now concerned about the long term usability of this bag.

If you dont mind prepping a bag before using it then this is an inexpensive option that is definitely handmade but probably wont take abuse well. I have had it fir a while and use it daily as my go to bag for short trips outside the hone office. Holds my Chromebook, my personal organizer, phone, and a couple of pens. Wouldn't push the weight on this bag but does look very retro with the rivets. Overall 4 stars for the price, looks, and usability.

A really cool lap top bag. My grand kids call me Indiana Jones when I carry it. My only complaint is a minor one. The ad says a 15 inch lap top will fit, it does fit but its very tight. I would adjust the description to say a 14 inch lap top. But the coolness over rides the tight fit.The antiqued look of the leather makes the coolness even better. There is room for other stuf as well, for ex. your Kindle and the charger.Great looking bag.

I carefully looked at the close-up shots of the bag to see if it was a good deal and being sold as advertised. I had some doubts, but the reviews are good and it says: Genuine Leather. When the bag arrived (in record timing), I noticed that it didn't look, smell, or feel like genuine leather. Unfortunately, the buckles are glued underneath the stitching and they were sticky. Some of the rivets too were sticky. But it was stitched very well and it's very sturdy. However, just after one day of usage, the "leather" has crinkled like plastic and the tabs below the handle have started to curl. The buckles don't really hold the straps either. The bag is spacious, sturdy, and well stitched. But it's not real leather and I don't think that it'll last one month.

When I first received the bag I was very pleased with my choice. After a few weeks I noticed some of the theading in different places had started to unravel so I took the bag toy nearest shoe repair shop who also repair bags etc and now all is better.... Will order from seller again

Decent product overall ,not built to stand up to regular use (buttons pop off easily) . Very good looking though

You will not receive an expensive leather bag - Yes it certainly looks the part but the leather is expectedly less thick than a high end bag. As usual you get what you pay for but as long as you know what to expect then you will be exceedingly pleased for this value. If someone knocks this bag for not being high end then they should pay far more for another one.
