Does exactly what it claims to. I bought this as the coolant tank failed on my car and I had to suck out the fluid prior to removal of the tank. The tubes and clamps are solid construction. Very easy to setup and the operate. Whilst its a hand pump you can build up enough suction pressure to let gravity do the rest and I was able to empty out 3 litres in a couple of minutes. Equally easy to pump back fluid too, so would highly recommend this as a simple but effective solution.

The product works as well as you'd expect from a small bulb attached to two tubes. The quality seems very good. Works better immersed in a large quantity of liquid than just to empty the small fuel tank on a lawn mower which is what I purchased it for.

Tried for ages to syphon some fuel from my car for my mower but would not lift any fuel despite the fuel tank being higher than the decanting can. Reverted to the tried and tested method using another pipe into the tank and a quick suck and fuel flowed. Not worth the money

Suction on this isn’t great, I ended up having to use my mouth to generate extra suction to prime a Ford Focus diesel fuel pump (what I was trying to avoid) but it worked fine on the second filter I tried it on, the pipes are fairly heavy duty and did not collapse and sealed fine.

My dishwasher shuts automatically down if something gets in the filter and doesn’t allow it to drain properly. You have to take the dishwasher out, manually tilt is backwards and let the water drain to reset the system. It is a real pain and takes a long time to fix. With this device I can easily drain the reservoir in about 2 minutes which does the same job much easier and less messy.

This siphon is pure simplicity but don’t expect commercial fuel pump performance and if using on a medium to large vehicle be prepared to buy a longer length of tubing to reach into the fuel tank or if using on a household water header/storage tank this will again be the case. For the price paid an extra couple of feet of tubing might well have upped the value for money stakes.

Tied to use this to syphon petrol pit of a VW Fox but the length of tubing isn't long enough due to the fact that the petrol pipe is way too long. I think VW deliberately make it like this to stop people nicking petrol out of cars. The pipe goes all the way round the back of the tank to the opposite side so you cannot reach the petrol. Product on the other hand is well made and good.

Tryed it transferring water from 1 bucket to the other. The pump works. You will get a good hand work out

It works for thin liquids but if the liquid is thick it won’t work
