manufactured home repair and maintenance Paperback – December 5, 2012

Most jobs involved with maintaining a mobile home, in a nutshell! Concise, complete…. Came in very handy; thank you v much.

I am rebuilding a manufactured/mobile home built in 1981 that was in pretty bad shape, but had a solid frame so it had potential. I got this book with 2 others. One of the others is very comprehensive on Mobile Home Repair and Upgrade, the other a great source on Mobile Home: Energy usage. Together those two give tremendous coverage on the topics in manufactured/mobile home repair, remodel, rebuild or upgrade.This book unfortunately didn't really provide much. It did hit some topics the others didn't but other then making me aware of an aspect, like if I get condensation on the inside of windows, didn't really give much help. The other books said what to, then how to deal with it. This book tended to say stuff that was kind of common sense like, if you have a pluming leak under your kitchen sink it can damage your cabinet so you should call a plumber. I did not want to actually quote the book as this is a negative review, but that is the type of feel I got for most of what I read.Pros:Made me aware of areas I might have overlooked in assessing and repairing my home.Good pictures. Well at least the one showing condensation on windows.Cons:Looks like someone created this book to provide profit to the marketer, not usable information to the consumer.After pointing out an area that might need work it didn't guide through how to do that work. Mostly it seemed like if you are a pro you already know everything this book presents and if you are a DIY, the book doesn't tell how to Do It Yourself.

A very easy to use and comprehensive look at how to identify and fix issues in your home before they become a problem. The preventive approach alleviates the trouble for you later and easily explains "how to " identify and correct your problems before they become major expensive. A very easy book to read and very user friendly that helps with the preventive maintenance of your home.

I was extremely disappointed with this purchase. The book is very short, general and not particularly informative. There are several other books, available here on Amazon, that I would recommend that will lead you through the how and whys of individual repairs.

Basic maintenance activities for all manufactured homes. Some good technical points are included. Good material for a first time home owner.

Not really worth more than $10. For those that already own a manufactured home for a while don't spend your money on this. If you are a new owner of a manufactured home or contemplating buying one, get it as cheap as you can. The 6x9in booklet has only about 50 pages that do have color photo's but the content is very basic in nature. No real directions on how to fix/repair anything.

This has some really good info to help prevent future problems.

This book is the very basic! Not worth the price tag! I pretty much knew everything. Thought it would have inside tips, etc.
