In 'National Treasure' (2004), Nicolas Cage stars as Benjamin Franklin Gates, an archaeologist from the seventh generation of a family of treasure-seekers who have all shared the same quest: to discover the whereabouts of an old war chest full of gold hidden by the founding fathers in the last days of the Revolutionary War. Ben must work against the clock to unravel the clues embedded in the original drafts of two key historical documents - the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence - before his criminal ex-partner Ian Howe (Sean Bean), or the FBI - led by Agent Sadusky (Harvey Keitel) - get their mitts on the loot. Helping him in his quest is beautiful archivist Abigail Chase (Diane Kruger). In 'National Treasure 2 - Book of Secrets' (2008), Nicolas Cage reprises his role as artefact hunter and archaeologist, Ben Franklin Gates. When a missing page from the diary of Abraham Lincoln's assassin, John Wilkes Booth, surfaces, one of Ben's ancestors is implicated as a conspirator in the murder. In an attempt to clear their family's name, Ben and his father, Mitch (Jon Voight), travel the globe in search of the other missing pages from Booth's diary. Both films are very entertaining and great to watch. The subjects of both films were interesting to watch as subjective history is made and unravelled. Not a huge fan of Nicholas Cage but I did think he was very good in this role.

double good views
great entertainment from N Cage in this double header of action packed entertainment. Just forget the story line as it is a bit ridiculous and just sit back and enjoy non stop action with a great ending. At the price Amazon is offering it for it is nothing short of a steal. Great value

Highly entertaining!!
Both these movies are very good indeed, i personally thought the second film was slightly better. loved the american history lessons thrown in with the indiana jones style puzzle solving. When these films first came out i wasn't sold by the idea of them, but decided to buy them recently and i am so glad i did, i watched them back to back. Can't wait for National Treasure 3!

I love these two films as they are good family entertainment with no bad language to speak of or violence, but all the adventure of an action film. Plus Nicolas Cage is always good. National Treasure/National Treasure 2 - Book Of Secrets [DVD] [2004 ]

Damaged Items
I usually do not write reviews, but I had to for this one. The cases arrived broken, brittle to the touch, and the artwork is torn on the spine of one of the movies. I can probably live with it, since I can order replacement cases and try to fix the artwork with tape. The discs look okay, with just a couple of smudges that are easy to clean. This is the first time in many years that a product arrived damaged, so it is what it is.
