Fantastic cover! The cover I had originally purchased through Home Depot was the for the same model sizes of Champion Generators, but paper thin and was not waterproof. The very first rain this cover got dark gray, and absorded the water in a puddled mess. This cover bought off Amazon included zippers, for airing or refueling of the generator, also a bottom cinch that allowed convenient watertight fit around the base of the generator. You can tell this is a thick cover that will fight the justice of Mother Nature. I fell more of this information could be shared in the product description, you cannot go wrong with this purchase. Purchase it for outdoor protection of your Champion Generator!

We just purchased the Champion 4000-Watt Wireless Start Open Frame Inverter and wanted to protect it the best we can so it would last which is why we decided to purchase this cover. In my experience, covers for outdoor items can tend to not fit very well and are made out of pretty cheap material. So you can imagine my being more than pleasantly surprised with I opened the box containing the cover for our new generator. I was at odds before I opened it because we the name of this product says it will cover 2800-Watts or higher but when the product was delivered it has 3100 in big numbers on the carton. After we assembled the new generator, the moment of truth was upon us so I took the cover out of it's protective plastic bag it ships in and tried to cover the new generator with it. Because the bottom of the cover is elasticized and was new, it took a few minutes to get the cover over the generator. Once I was successful getting it on, I noticed it also has a cord with a stop on the elasticized bottom that allow it to tighten the cover if needed. Not sure I'll need to pull it tighter because it was more than being a good fit. The description says it is a "weather resistant vinyl" which is true but what I was impressed with is the fact that it is a thicker vinyl and DOES NOT feel cheap at all. In fact, when looking at all of the seams I would say these covers are made very well. What I didn't notice until AFTER I put it on the generator were the 2 zippers on either end of the cover. What that will allow me to do is be able to lift it via the two handles without taking the cover off. The uploaded picture I took of the new cover is not a "professional" marketing one...it still shows the wrinkles from being boxed. My bottom line is I am glad I took the chance and ordered this cover for our new generator. I really think it will protect the unit when it's outside from the rain and sun (Florida sun is very destructive to things like barbecues, furniture, and so on).

Fits well to keep the dust off it when in the garage not in use. Keeps it also from dings and scratches in storage..

I bought this Champion Weather-Resistant Cover for my new Champion 3400 Dual Fuel generator. I love the heck out of my superbly-engineered generator, but this cover is "meh." The cover fits over the Champion 3400 snugly, but it's not very robust. It works fine for keeping dirt and rain off a stationary unit, but campers, workers and road warriors are going to rip this cover to shreds in short order. The light- to medium-weight 100% polyester cover (Chinese, though I didn't deduct for that) simply won't hold up to any sort of abuse. The two lightweight zippers allow access to the carrying handles, but they are much too fragile for something covering a 100-pound generator, plus you can't access the towing handle. And you just know some guys are going to pick up the generator without unzipping the access ports first which provides another failure opportunity. The logo on the side is black instead of Champion yellow, though I didn't deduct for that either. Champion missed an opportunity to add exterior pockets for the instruction manual and various do-dads that travel with a generator. The generator must cool before covering. Finally, the propane rig for the 3400 dual fuel simply will not fit inside this cover. I feel I'm being generous giving the Champion Weather-Resistant Storage Cover four stars. Consider just tying a tarp over your unit.

Got two of these, one to cover my 4500w and an attempt to cover a 5500w. Covers the 4500w perfectly. It barely fits the 5500w, but I don’t think champion ever said it would work so no complaints. It covers 95% of the 5500w generator. Obviously the zippers at the top don’t line up with the handles on the bigger one but who cares, it’ll stay dust free with it on.
