Kobalt 13-in-1 Double Drive Screwdriver

I love this tool. It's easy to use and works great with all of my bits.

this Kobalt screwdriver is simply the MVP. I own 5 of them now, and keep them in various areas of the office and home, and in my vehicles. this screwdriver has 2 main distinguishing feature - it has a ratchet gear system so that if you hold the black textured ring, you can twist the screwdriver left and right, and it will continue to drive the screw. this makes it twice as fast as a regular ratcheting screwdriver. the 2nd thing is that it has a large bit storage compartment. it can even hold a hex bit extension. Very useful. and the bits are easily accessible, with a quick twist of the cap on the base. Other screwdrivers that store driver bits in the handle have a fully threaded screw-type cap, so it takes longer to get the bits out, or to store them.

Ok number of bits that I needed

This is a nice screwdriver. The ratcheting action is solid and while I don't use it often, the double drive does work pretty well. The magnet is one of the strongest I've had in a multi-bit screwdriver, so the bits aren't always popping out of the head. It's great to have a wide variety of bits right in the handle. Pros: Strong magnet Double drive Well constructed - feels sturdy Nice selection of bits Cons: Pop cap would be better, it is cumbersome to unscrew when you want to, and sometimes it unscrews when you don't want it to.

A great tool!

This screwdriver is a must have for anyone. Gets most jobs done quickly and feels solid My only complaints are that the bits are not pre magnetized (from what I can tell). Easy fix but still should have been there already. Also the extension sits a little loose but that piece is held in by a magnet so that's not a huge deal. Either way great tool and I definitely recommend it

This arrived not in a box or with the usual plastic cover; no manual or other paperwork. Just an envelope with the unit and a small "2x" cap lose in the bag. It seems to work but feels like it could do with a bit of grease. The direction pin can only be moved when the unit is in a certain position and even that is with a bit of force and no click. 100% I just a refurb without the description stating so.

This is my 2nd Kobalt "double drive" screwdriver and is an improvement in most regards.. This one uses individual single ended bits while the original design used double ended bits which are a bit harder to find replacements for when they wear out or you lose the bit and it uses just a simple spring detent where the original used a quick release which was way too easy to accidentally trigger causing the bit to just drop out and lose... This new design is also less bulky and fits into more spaces. Only thing I don't like as much about this revised design vs the original is that this one is a clicky micro-ratchet where the original was a ratchetless "clutch drive" which was both quieter and had less backlash.

A great idea but sadly the ratchets black sleeve has screws and holes that seem to wear and cause the gears to catch on the sleeve and stop working. If you get a good one you might be OK but mine is faulty. If I could take it apart I could repair it. But sadly I am not able too.

Unfortunately received the screwdriver with intermittent stuck gear while using the double drive

Amazing, Double drive, single drive or normal screwdriver. use as you need.
