A great steak sauce
Peter Luger steak sauce is a superb accompaniment to steaks, crab cakes, fried onion rings and french fries. Tangier than ketchup but not overwhelmingly so. Good value.

OMG, this stuff is a high fructose sugary horrible mess!
I am dumbfounded with all the great reviews of this sauce. Got a bottle and was so excited to try it but ended up throwing the entire bottle in the trash. First sniff I knew something was wrong as it smelled like a super sweet cocktail sauce even though it says "low calorie" on the bottle. Sure, low calorie if you don't count the fact that it's full of High Fructose Corn Syrup! Sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and corn syrup are the 3rd, 4th, and 5th ingredients. Add to the the fact that tomato is first, and horseradish is 6th, and you get basically a super sweet thin cocktail sauce, which I can tell you does NOT go well with steak. If you think that sounds like a good combo then save yourself a bunch of money and just buy cocktail sauce and add a bunch of sugar and a little water.

Have used Peter Lugar steak sauce for years. I am disabled and unable to leave my home - so I am grateful to be able to purchase from Amazon This steak sauce is most delicious and can be used to flavor anything.
