We bought this to use as a photo booth prop at my daughter's 13th birthday party. It was absolutely perfect for this purpose. It's not very big - approximately 8 in x 7.5 inches. It also feels like you cold use chalk to write on it, though we didn't. We actually used a white paint pen and filled it out with my daughter's name, etc. It turned out really cute. The kids and adults all loved it because it's one of those things we had all seen on television but not in person. I would caution that it does not feel too durable so I doubt it would survive a lot of rough wear. After her party, my daughter asked if she could hang it in her room as a momento of her party, so my husband attached picture fram hangers on the thicker striped parts and hung it up on her room with the bar slightly open (as it appears in the photograph) and it's super cute. For photo booths, room decorations, or a Hollywod-themed party decoration, it would be a perfect prop at a cheap price.

I'm an aspiring actor and bought this to simulate real life film. While the product is light weight, it's hard to write on in order to properly set the scene(s). When I am practicing, I have a friend clap the arm and frankly, it is not that loud and has become difficult for me to determine when the scene starts. This had led to some sketchy dialogue from myself and my fellow aspiring actors. We specialize in adult films and when the scene is over, if cut is not yelled loud enough, I sometimes don't know when to stop in order to switch positions, wipe sweat off of our actors, or deal with the many nose bleeds which is an unknown factor that occurs often in the films we make. I think this is more of a toy, but it was all I could afford for now. As a prop gift, it is very nice.

I used this Rhode Island Novelty Hollywood clapboard as a photo booth prop, and it worked perfectly. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and the size is just right for kids or adults. Great little clapper for videos or just plain fun. Good hinged rivet on the clapper. Actual chalkboard surface, so you can write on it with chalk. Good size. Very handy. Well build and sturdy. The only drawback is that everyone knows someone who would like to borrow one of these for a play or a project. And you're a good person, right? So you loan out your clapper and then magically it disappears. You never see it again. You even bought tickets to that play AND bought the director a bouquet of miniature unicorns. But does he care? No. Clapper gone. Not a sound. Not a trace. Now his wife is pregnant. With twins. So you think he'll have time to go look for your loaner clapper? Never. Maybe in 18 years. Til then, forget it. Your clapper is the least important thing in his life. It's like it never existed. And you? Well you're no better off. He doesn't call. He doesn't send notes on Facebook. Nothing. You think his twin will get anything from you. No. Never. Certainly not those matching car seats he wants. Forget that. Paybacks are hell. He's got to buy maybe ten thousand dollars worth of crap when those kids are born. And can he count on you? No. You gave him a chance to be a good friend and he totally took your clapper and let is get lost in the theater. It's probably gathering dust under the seats, stuck to the floor with discarded gum. So his kids better be happy with used, second-hand, dangerous, crappy car seats. Cuz they're getting nothing from you. There's right and there's wrong. And you shouldn't have to point out the difference to people. Especially people with eight siblings. They should know what the world is like. What goes around comes around. It's not your fault that people behave this way. You were just trying to do someone a favor. Now his kids are in danger for their lives every single day because he just didn't care about the kindness you showed him in his time of need. Sigh.

Quality is there, it works how it should, and I’d definitely purchase again.

Great for content creation. It's not the best quality, but it looks very accurate to generic slateboards, and it's pretty cheap. Great prop!

Very lightweight

Es algo pequeña y sencilla, pero si la quieres para adornar un lugar o simplemente para juagar al director de escena está muy bien.

Es una pizarra bastante buena anque un poco pequeña pero para decoracion esta perfecta, la verdad es que el material es bastante bueno. Recomendable al 100% como articulo para decoracion.
