Hot Leathers Women's Skull and Roses Mechanic Gloves

First off, let me say that the actual item shipped is not, as indicated, a "2-pack," but rather a single pack including a left and right glove. I pointed this out to Amazon customer service, and they were kind enough to ship me a second pair for free. (Hopefully this will encourage the seller to update the listing with the correct information, seeing as the email I sent directly was ignored.)As for the actual product, I got these because I like to keep a pair of gloves in the car that I can throw on before doing something like checking my tire pressure or topping off my fluids--that way I can just hop back in the car and get on the road without needing to wash my hands. These gloves are perfect for that sort of use. They are thick enough that they would offer reasonably good protection against accidental contact with a hot piece of metal in the engine compartment; however, I would not recommend using them to deliberately touch anything hot. I'm also not sure they would hold up well under daily use or really frequent washing (I have a pair of Mechanix gloves for those sorts of tasks). As a spare pair of gloves for basic emergency roadside maintenance, though, they're perfectly adequate and quite reasonably priced.
