My wife struggles with kitchen tools because of her poor gripping skills. This Salt Shaker is perfect for her. We enjoy having freshly ground salt on our food and this does not require batteries. Easy to use, looks great on our counter or table and easy to keep clean. It has a easy to adjust grinding level from course to fine.

I had to replace a previous purchase of OXO grinders as we have had for many years. The bottom rubber piece to turn for grinding is a little loose. I was pleased to find it on Amazon at an excellent price. Did not hesitate to purchase as they are the best salt and pepper grinders and look wonderful on my kitchen table. Guests always comment when seen and during use on how nice/well they look and operate. There are 5 different grinding selections and very easy to turn rubber knob at the bottom. Easy to fill at the bottom. Clean with damp cloth and wipe dry. These grinders should complement any decor.

The BEST pepper mill on the market. I've tried a dozen different brands and this one beats them all. OXO is brilliant in how they designed this. The grinder is at the top so you don't have to wipe pepper from underneath it. The grind is excellent! it's the first mill that actually can do a fine grind to perfection. It's attractive and a very good buy. I highly recommend! And it comes full of peppercorns!

It's nice, it's comfortable, it's easy to use, it looks good in a kitchen or on a dining table. Best feature is the top-hole design, which prevents dumping dust every time you set it down like those other, bottom-hole grinder designs from other companies. The big con of this grinder is that no matter what setting you select with the selector knob, the pepper always comes out in a mixed consistency. The *grinder* is the shortcoming of this grinder.

If, like me, you've been suffering for your art with an old wooden mill - there is and answer and here it is. There are a number of things I like about these which make them pretty much spot on for me...... in no particular order; They are good to grip... you hold onto the whole body of the thing and twist the grooved and grippy rubber end which provides a positive action; The shaft between the rubber handle and the actual grinder feels very solid - how it should be; the mechanism seems well engineered and crushes without any judder; the resistance between the handle and the body is none existent so all force used turning the unit is translated to the milling action; there is no interruption of flow of salt/pepper to the grinder; the outlet is at the top of the mill so there's no mess; the quality is robust and well finished; refilling is a joy - there's a huge unscrewable opening at the bottom of the unit. The granulation size is simply adjustable and from fine (it is very fine) through to coarse (very coarse) in 5 easy stages - I thought that this was a little gimmicky but it isn't - you can add a lot of salt/pepper while cooking and seasoning - and a fine powder at the table. They work so well and are so well made that I'm actually getting to quite like the design - they look a lot better in the "flesh" than they do in pictures....

I have one of these for salt, and it’s well built, works well, looks great It’s easy to fill, it’s transparent and has a great brushed steel finish. I decided I want the matching pepper corn crusher too, and found that it was cheaper when I bought a set , in a fancy black metal. So I bought those- meh, not the same, I kept holding back for months and finally got this, and now I’m satisfied. So, go for this, Oxo good grips almost always has given me a good product and this is one of their better ones. It works well, looks great and is easy to maintain. Buy this one- in brushed steel, don’t get the black metal finish that is cheaper when you buy a set, you’ll thank me later.

We are very impressed with this salt grinder. We have always used Kosher salt in a shaker with large holes for cooking, but the texture is a little course for a finishing salt. We were visiting our daughter recently, and she was using sea salt in a grinder. We really liked it, and decided to order the Oxo salt grinder since we have the Oxo pepper grinder and really like it. We are very happy with our purchase. The grind is perfect for sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, salads or anything you want to finish with salt. It comes loaded with salt, and I made sure I bought the same texture of sea salt for when it needs refilled. We love that the grinder opening for both the salt and pepper grinder is on top; No more mess on the counter! Looks nice sitting out in my kitchen.
