Works well to create polarizing microscope
I used these to temporarily convert a regular bright field microscope to a polarizing microscope. You need the top filter above the objectives and below the eyepiece. You need the bottom filter just above the light source. You turn the bottom filter to get the effect you want. It works great with crystals like ascorbic acid crystals. These sheets seem to be high quality and a good value. They are sufficiently thick, but cut easily with scissors to make circles. They have protective plastic on both sides which you peel off. The protective plastic is held on by static cling. There is no adhesive.

Don't stick too well.

Works mostly O.K., but not well for blue wavelengths
For classroom demonstration purposes, they work well enough. However, the set I got did not work well in the blue wavelengths. Assuming the set I got wasn't unusual, this is how you would see it: take two polarizing film sheets and orient them at 90 deg to each other to make a "crossed polarizer" setup. This should be completely dark, but when you look at something white (such as your computer screen), you will see a dark blue color, which is what you would expect to see for a polarizer that does not work well in the blue wavelengths. At first I thought this was due to UV (I was trying it with sunlight) that gets through the polarizing film (many visible-wavelength polarizers are terrible at IR or UV), but I see the same thing with incandescent light bulb (not capable of producing UV). So, if you are looking for a cheap classroom demonstration, yes, these are good enough, but if you need a polarizer that works reasonably across all visible wavelengths, these are not good enough (OTOH, if you are just using He-Ne laser wavelength, it's probably not too bad). P.S. And, yes, you see this after removing the plastic film, so birefringence in the film, etc. is not the problem.

Works great for the price!
Bought a lot of these to cut up and give away to every student in school for a Shared Science Experience. Can't beat the price for what you get. Remove the protective film from front and back and they work quite well. As stated by others, when turned 90 degrees you don't get complete light blockage as the blue end of the spectrum bleeds through. The only filters I could find that would do give better blockage cost 10 to 20 times as much as these, which just isn't feasible when trying to serve 600+ people. Quick safe shipping. In addition to the peel-off protective film on both sides of each piece, each square arrived in its own plastic baggie inside the box.

Not usable
These polarizing sheet are intended for kids to play with. Do not buy these for professional use. It would be impossible for you to take pictures through these sheet. The quality if below terrible, and they are full of scratches. EDIT: To all people who answered, I have to make an edit in this review. These polarizing sheets come with a protective plastic layer on the front and on the back. When I was using them I did not take them off, thinking it was part of the polarizing film. For this reason it was very hard to see thru and the quality was terrible. When I took them off however, the scratches were gone and the quality was good, even to take pictures though them ! Remember to take off the protective film on the front and on the back !!

Sort of works for the right application
Got for use as a science project but see potential use for photography or other applications but sheets are very small and didn't seem worth it overall but was the most affordable option out there. FYI seller, not everyone needs 10 sheets or wants that specific size.

Good quality polarizers
Polarizers go completely black when crossed( which is a good thing ) . Will be modifying these to fit a microscope to teach polarizing light microscopy . Will buy again . Recommended

Not what I was expecting..
Not what I was expecting. Yes it is a polarising film... but it I thought it would be more flexible and be static cling. Its just a hard square laminate. I was looking to adapt this to my GoPro Sessions... it didn't work. Instead I bought a circular filter adapter thru ebay - which did the job just fine.
