All around winner!
Works well. Closer shave than rotary heads. Great for travel.

More powerful than expected
This portable shaver is a nice placement for my 20 year-old Braun Pocket Go M90 shaver. I would have loved to get another M90 but the most recent reviews indicate that they have changed the foil design so the shaver no longer works as effectively as my old model. I thought I'd give this one a try and was pleasantly surprised and happy that I did. There are several advantages this shaver has over the M90. It is really small! It will fit into a travel toiletry bag very well. Not sure if it's because the blade is new but it shaves cleanly easily. Afterwards I actually feel the slight razor burn that tells me the job is well done. The possible disadvantage is that it is not water proof, or if it is then it's not in the product description. However this is not an issue. The blade snaps off really easily so rinsing it without getting the shaver wet is simple. All in all it's a powerful device that is highly portable and effective.

On the go shaving.
For under $20 and what razors cost these days this offers good value for money. If i go on a trip i may not have access to running water to shave with a blade but i still need to keep clean, this runs on AAs found anywhere , has good battery life and is very portable. It doesnt offer the closest shaves but its also cheap and can be used anywhere. Can be used anywhere in a pinch without breaking the bank.

It isn't a razor, but it'll do
This thing is built and designed very elegantly, really feels like the peak of 80s/90s Japanese electronic design. Good heft, the battery compartment and blade guard clip firmly with a satisfying click, it makes enough noise to convince you it has power without being chattery or irritating. From the tasteful molded grip lines on the exterior to the safety catch on the power switch the attention to detail and user experience of this little shaver is comparable to a Casio wristwatch; inexpensive but sturdy and reliable. This shaver, however, is not a replacement for a proper shave, the foil design makes it hard to get any decent lines and I do notice it is a little more irritating than my safety razor, despite providing less close of a shave. I use this shaver between actual shaves on my neck, and it keeps stubble from becoming sloppy looking. For the price, convenience, and the legitimate joy that it is to use, it's a 5 star little tool. BUT it isn't a razor, and shouldn't be expected to perform like a real wet shave, especially for those who know how soft and smooth a real shave can be. In short, buy it, and also buy a real razor.

Dang ... this was a spur of the moment buy that turned out really well! 5/5 (so far)
A long time ago (decades) I had an electric shaver and it never worked really great. Electric shavers at the time were really expensive, and many did not work well, so eventually I started using cartridge shavers. That is a little inconvenient so when out of the corner of my eye I notice Amazon trying to get me to take a look at this, and realizing that my Panasonic purchases have all been pretty good, I bought it to try out. Oh, I was skeptical, even after I used it the first few times. I thought it would jam or break or just stop working, but it works really well. So easy to use, and you don't have to have a towel, shaving cream and stand immobile at a sink getting wet. I keep it on my desktop at home and if I notice my whiskers getting a bit rough I flick it on and run it around my face. It works! And it is very convenient. It is small and light and can use my rechargeable batteries. I love it, especially the price. Rating 5/5

Quit working
At first everything was great. It was very compact for travel, shaved well, etc. Then after about a year it quit working in the middle of an overseas trip. So can't recommend.

Amazing!
I'm amazed. This is a powerful little shaver that gives a very close shave. Panasonic makes an excellent product and I am sorry that they discontinued production of this model. This shaver was made in Japan

This could be your everyday shaver
OK, before I get into this, let it be known, I do not have many reviews out there, so this one is one of the rare times that I'm putting 'pen to paper' for a particular item. This shaver (ES-RS10-A) is one of them. Overall: Really glad I found this shaver. I highly recommend it. Reasons: 1. Size - it goes without saying, this is compact. It has a wider path than a blade, but it will still cut hair just like a big electric. 2. Unlike a blade, no fear of cuts; you can adjust your pressure against your skin without worry - If you really need to. Also, you can attack that stubble at any angle, on any curve, you wish - unlike a blade. The take-away: This cuts better than any electric razor I have ever owned. For me at least. The unseen: Taking into account the price, this is cheaper than blades or electric - in my opinion. Here's why: Electric shavers recommend replacement of their blades every 6 months or so. $30+ each time. I may change the batteries on this about every 2 months. My methods may not be the norm, but this is a way cheaper deal. Cons: When traveling I found that I needed to put this in a zip-lock baggie to contain any 'dust' in my case. An expected minor issue, but not a deal-breaker by any means. You will want to carry the brush and 2 - AA batteries, just in case.

Panasonic travel shaver
A small travel shaver gives a good shave. I have always used a blade razor, but if I have not shaved for 4 days, I get razor burn, so I use the Panasonic shaver to take most of the stubble off, then it's easy with the wet razor . Made in Japan, its quality

Worth the money, better than expected.
Works much better than expected. I bought this as a travel razor but it works so well that it's now my stay-at-home choice for every day use. Here are a couple of things you need to know. When I first got it I used the supplied batteries that it shipped with and found it to be OK but not great - it seemed a little weak. Well, I thought that was normal for such a small razor since I had no point of comparison. Eventually I changed the batteries and was shocked by the much, much better performance. Apparently the supplied batteries were mostly discharged. I suggest using fresh batteries or, at least, trying fresh batteries to compare with the supplied batteries to see if they are good. I was a little concerned about how long the batteries would last and hesitated to buy a razor that wasn't rechargeable. I shouldn't have worried since I have been using it for months on the replacement batteries so they last a long time. One thing that's important to understand about electric razors (any of them) is that they really only work on short hair/stubble. If you go two days without shaving the individual hairs will simply get pressed down as you try to slide the razor across your face. The best way to use an electric razor is to shave every day or even twice per day. That might sound silly or annoying but since you don't need to wet your face and lather up with shaving cream to do it it's easy to do a quick one minute shave at night or whenever. If you go two days or longer the best is to use a regular razor or something like the Phillips Oneblade who's design cuts the hair off at the base rather than grinding it down completely. What I do is a regular wet shave with shaving cream once a week and this Panasonic for all the days in between. My skin is now completely free of razor burn/irritation. One point of comparison with the Phillips Oneblade - I found it worked pretty well but the blades wore out quickly and were expensive to replace. I've already made my money back on this Panasonic by not having to replace the blades. Also, I find I can shave quicker with the Panasonic and not have to go over the same spot as often. One other thing - I find the plastic blade cover always fell off on my suitcase - solved it with an elastic.

For me personally, as an excellent secondary finishing shaver after a wet sandwich razor shave.
This is the second time I am buying this model of travel shaver(the first this time on Amazon). The first shaver lasted nearly 4 years. I was fully satisfied with it. I use it every day as a secondary follow-up shaver, after first completing my shave with a regular sandwich blade wet razor and thoroughly drying my face. I find it excellent to remove the left over shorter stubble, especially in the nooks and crannies around the nose and mouth, and also generally all over the face. In the end, you are left with the smoothest shave ever. I had to discard the first shaver because one of the two battery contacts - the negative pole contact of the battery slot on the left hand side after you open the case - broke. I found that the battery placed in this inner slot wasn't fitting tightly, resulting in a loose contact, and the shaver needed to be shaken every now and then to get it working again. I find this same defect in the new set which I have bought. Perhaps it was the constant vibration of the shaver working on the loose metal contact over a period of time which led to it snapping in my first shaver. I have solved the loose contact problem in the new shaver which I have just bought by placing a thin strip of transparent flexible plastic sheet over the two batteries before sliding the battery cover shut. I think the manufacturer needs to address the problem of the defective metal negative contact, as also the cover not fitting tightly over the batteries after it is slid shut.
