I use this for watercolor painting. It adhered nicely to the cotton rag 140 lb Arches cold pressed paper I used. After about 4-6 hours, the dried mask came off my painting nicely. It seemed to pull up a tiny bit of the paper in a few spots, so I'd be very careful about leaving it on for too long.In terms of a "go to" masking fluid, I might keep looking for one that will not pull away any of the surface of the paper. But in terms of the three varieties of applicators, you can't find better and I think it's worth the price alone just to get those!!!! Even if you use a different brand of masking fluid with them, it will be a wonderful tool for you to use for years to come.I would dock the fluid one star due to the slight scarring done to the paper, but I'd rate the applicators 5+++ stars.

My only complaint is that sometimes it gunks up in the spout and I have to clear the spout in order to squeeze it through. Otherwise, super accurate and and useful!
