It was the off season, so we had some cold drissly days and even some light snow. It was just enough to get your sneakers wet and make your feet cold and miserable for the rest of the day...but not mine. I put these over my sneakers and my feet stayed dry. I thought that I would wear them out with all the walking we did, but they are sturdy. I can't see any wear/damage after three days in the mountains. I was worried about them being bulky, but they weren't. I slipped them over my shoes and forgot about them. They didn't get in the way of walking, and they fit my shoes great. This is a good idea if you are traveling to a rainy area and don't want to take rain boots and sneakers both. Also, my sneakers are much more comfortable for walking the boardwalks at Yellowstone. With these covers, you get the comfort of your everyday shoes and dry feet both.
