Eastern Manufacturing Inc 30383 Catalytic Converter (Non-CARB Compliant)

I am facing the same issues as most, low on cash and everything seems to be breaking. I searched the web and everyone is in agreement that the dealership will charge $1,200.00 for OEM cat replacements. Muffler shops could do it way cheaper but I needed cheaper than that. I went to all local part stores (all the major chains and a local) The best they could do was around $260-$280 per side. So I try Amazon and order both for barely $300. I have an 04 Mercury Grand Marquis. These are direct fit replacements that bolt on with ease provided you use penetrating oil ahead of time. PB Blaster is the absolute best. This part is the left drivers side. Remember in the US you can tell what side by sitting in the car behind the wheel. My symptoms were loud clanking noise coming from underneath the car. I thought oh no trnsmission but it was actually the passenger (right side) cat had come apart on the inside. I replaced both and these parts are truly a Godsend. My car is like brand new again for the bargain price of $315. I cant speak for longevity yet as they are only a week old. Packaged well, shipped fast, and bolted on perfectly. Highly recommended. Tools needed are simply a ratchet, extension, 15mm socket, and I believe a 9/16 for the back 2 bolts. Only 4 bolts per side. Please save yourself a ton of money and do this one yourself.

If you've been getting that code and not willing to live with it, these were direct bolt on replacement (even came with gaskets!) Check engine light off and car running at maximum potential now. Installation video is on my Youtube channel at WJ Handy Dad

Excellent fit at a great price! Perfect fit, fast shippin. Love these guys! The heat gun worked like a champ to loosen those 14 yr. old nuts and bolts. Took longer to jack the car up than to replace the cat. No more "gravel in a trashcan" noise.

Got for 04 crown vic fit Alsome no b.s one man job..but the so-called gasca that came with it where the pipes meet together was bent so never put the gasket on just tightened it up still works great

Good but do not attempt to change if ur bolts are rusted or hard to loosen i would suggest get it changed at a muffler shop my bolts broke inside the exhaust manifold which really sucked
