BLACK+DECKER 4V MAX* Cordless Screwdriver with LED Light (BDCS30C)

This little drill rocks! It last a really really long time on a charge and is relatively cheap. I've given a bunch to friends as stocking stuffers and such and they were like hmm that nice and then couple weeks later their like man I use that thing all the time versus getting out a full sized drill for little stuff around the house. I've never had it not able to do most minor maintenance, though drilling a long screw into say wood 2X4 does bog down a little at the end. Great for tight spaces, especially the model with the built in light. Also has a small foot print in a tool bag for doing light maintenance. Two Thumbs Up on this handy little tool.

This was a real lifesaver, and hand saver, when putting together furniture recently.If you are building a deck or something, you'll of course want to invest in a full-sized drill (and I recommend brushless), but jobs around the house don't need a full size drill and this works perfectly. Easy and fast to charge, surprising power, fits in tight spaces. The light that illuminates what you are screwing or unscrewing has been super helpful as well.A pleasant surprise at an affordable price.

Excellent Quality. Works with any ¼ inch bit. Very good torque. Charges fast using a standard wall unit. Unbelievable value that can virtually replace your full-sized 22 volt drill.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I am disabled and can't use anything large and heavy, but I still like to do a little bit for myself when I can. I bought this screwdriver so I can do a few small repairs and such around my house. I couldn't be happier with this small but well-built screwdriver. It is hefty enough to feel solid in my hand and to do the job, but it is not too heavy for me to hold up, and I can use it easily. The first time I used it, I forgot to plug it in until the night before, so it had only charged about 12 hours. I was a little concerned that wouldn't be enough, but it did great. I replaced about 20 outlet covers and light switch plates, some of which had four to six screws, and it never slowed down or ran out of juice. I can definitely recommend this for anyone who doesn't need to build a house or a paddock fence or something. :-)

Out of everything I've ever bought on Amazon, this is the single finest product. I'm astonished.When I got it out of the package it came in, my heart sank. It's so small, I thought, it'll never handle the kind of work I'm planning on doing round here. I also had to buy some new screw tips for it, and that annoyed me a tad.I totally underestimated this little bugger, tho. I've had this screw gun for about 6 months now. It's been at my side in pretty much daily use the entire time, and I have never-- get this-- NEVER-- had to charge it. Not once. It's going as strong as the day I got it. I just drilled a bunch of holes in my deck with it. It's not supposed to drill things, I don't think, but I figured "why not" so I drilled some holes. Still don't need to charge it.I left it outside on a rainy day once (don't try this at home kids), and it got a tad waterlogged. I let it dry for an hour or two, and went back to work. Good as new.I imagine someday I'll need to attach it to its little USB plug and give it a bit of juice......Someday.

I bought this to replace a very old model. The old one saw a lot of use and had great battery life, but I finally toasted the clutch. So I looked for something similar to replace it and found this. I prefer that it does not rotate between pistol and straight, like some other models, because every moving part is a point of failure. So I chose this one; It is sturdy and trusty. Holds the charge very well. I suspect I will have this one for a long time, also.

This has been great for me, especially for the price. I'm an old lady with arthritis. I don't work in a shop or do repairs that often. But every once in awhile, I need to fix or assemble something. My poor old hands suffer from using a manual screwdriver. This is perfect for me. I was able to remove screws from an ottoman that I wanted to re-do. I put an inexpensive particle board desk together with it much faster than with a manual. I have an old drill that plugs in but it's so heavy I rarely use it and only if I really need to drill holes. The USB charger is fast and convenient. It seems to hold the charge for quite a long time. It has a 2-year warranty which surprised me. It's limited in what size bits it will use. I haven't tried to drill into anything with it. Don't know if that would work. I have no idea how long it will hold up. I'd say if someone does a lot of carpentry work, it might not last long. But anyone who just wants a household item that's lightweight and convenient might do well with this item.

Update: Dec 2016 - I decided to take it apart to see if I could fix it. I did! The trigger has two metal spades that make the connection for both the light and drill power. One of the spades was bent out of shape. I adjusted both spades and made both of their connections much more positive. So far it works with every trigger pull.Update: Nov 2016 - This drill is garbage. I've now had it 11 months and the trigger rarely works the first time you push it. It can take 3-4-5 pushes before it starts, and then it often quits and I have to do it all again. I so wish I had not purchased this drill. And, I really wanted something small like this that works.Initial Review:It has sufficient power for what I want to use it for. My only concern is the trigger is touchy. Sometimes I have to push a couple of times before it stars. If I'm pushing too hard with the bit it is very hard to get it to go. I've experimented a bit and it may to do with the sliding switch for reverse, neutral, and forward. Overall not the quality I expected.

Great way to use electrical power to drive screws instead on manually screwing.

the packing is not as i expected, as it look like those oem type. The picture show bigger bit but ot came with 2 tiny bits.

Do you research. Don't expect the moon and stars from this item. If you get what it was designed to do.. simple occasional light duty work, then it's fine.If you expect anything beyond that, you'll be disappointed.. because it's not powerful or heavy duty beyond simple occasional household tasks.
