Excellent 2-in-1 Tracker with Reliable App Syncing
Setup & Bluetooth Pairing Getting this 2-in-1 monitor set up right out of the box was very straightforward. I downloaded the companion app onto my Pixel 10 Pro without any issues. While the device had a slight hitch pairing on the very first attempt, the second attempt went through perfectly and it has connected flawlessly every single time I have opened the app since. Design & Build Quality The overall construction of the unit feels premium and well-made. The digital display on the base is crisp and easy to read. As for the upper arm cuff, it is easy to put onโstandard for any blood pressure monitor. It can be a little tricky to secure tightly with one hand, but that is a universal challenge with arm cuffs rather than a flaw with this specific model. The App Experience & One Quirk The companion app is user-friendly, tracks history cleanly, and maps out blood pressure and EKG trends over time in a way that is easy to understand. My only real complaint is a functional quirk: you have to manually turn off NFC on your phone to run the EKG test. I understand this prevents signal interference with the sensors, but I wish the app would automatically re-enable NFC once the test concludes. Accuracy & Reliability While I have not yet taken this to a doctor's office to calibrate it directly against a clinical reading, the numbers feel consistent and well within the expected range for a home monitoring device. It serves as a great baseline to judge whether a medical visit is necessary. Crucially, both the blood pressure and EKG readings register successfully on the first try every single time. I previously tried the OxyLine Pro, but returned it due to constant app syncing headaches. The OMRON has been a massive upgrade in reliability. Value Verdict I managed to grab this unit on sale for around $100. Given that smart-syncing blood pressure monitors without EKG capability often hover around a similar price point, getting a highly reliable 2-in-1 device that handles both metrics flawlessly makes this an exceptional value.

Once you get it set up it's bullet proof, easy, and very informative
I felt that I needed to submit this review since some prior reviews were somewhat negative. However, most of the latter was due to sensitivities associated with privacy, some problems with connecting to Bluetooth, and the fact that it uses AA batteries which is unfair. As for privacy, it no longer needs to send your initial results for calibration. It starts tracking and monitoring from the first use. As for the batteries, I've used mine now 2-3 times daily for 2 weeks and no battery issues. In fact, I like the fact that it's so portable. So here's my review. Download the Omron Connect app to your phone. Be sure your phone is on bluetooth. Be sure you have a good WiFi signal. Go to your phone settings to monitor for connected devices. Push the bluetooth search button on the Omron unit. Accept the connection on your phone. When you start the Omron Connect app, you will need to sign-up for an account. Yes, it will ask for your permission to send your data to Omron so that they can monitor. The free service is all I use. There is a separate, included piece of paper with the unit that says that you no longer need to have your first EKG reviewed by a doctor for "calibration" purposes. I didn't sign up for any of the subscriptions yet I still find what I get for free from the app to be perfect. I can list all my past blood pressure (BP) readings and send them as an Excel file to myself or doctor by email for tracking. I can send a snapshot of any EKG reading (it stores them on the phone, I think there's a limit as to how many it stores, I have 2 weeks of EKG right now) and send it by email also. The app lets you chart BP by days, weeks, months. I really don't need anything else. So with your account created and the Omron Connect open and running on the phone, go to the Dashboard on the app and select the "Blood Pressure + EKG" option, scroll down a little and you's see a button that says "Record Blood Pressure and EKG". Push it and it will bring up an instruction screen that says to connect the BP cuff to your arm, push the "START/STOP" button on the Omron Unit, and place your thumbs and fingers on the metal sensing pads." So here is where its a little tricky. You need to actually have the Unit OFF since when you press the "START/STOP" button it will in effect turn off if its on. So i usually just set up my phone, place it in the convenient resting cradle on the unit, attach the cuff, and then turn the unit on. It starts automatically. After the EKG is done, wait until your BP reading shows up on the UNIT and then lift your fingers/thumbs off the unit. Everything is stored automatically. It doesn't take too many tries before you figure out how to use the unit. You get an instantaneous review of your BP and EKG on your phone. This unit is perfect. I can see why this unit will save lives. The feedback is instant and you can check it several times (though be sure to release the cuff and wait a few minutes between readings). If it takes a few times to get it to work for you be sure you disregard the first few readings as your BP probably went up a bit due to the "stress" associated with getting to know how it works. Once you have it down, it always works. I highly recommend this unit and this company. This is a real medical instrument by the best company in the business. (I gave the accuracy only 4 stars since I don't really know how accurate it is; but it is the only home BP and EKG unit that is accredited so I trust it).

Accurate...meets professional medical certification
A remarkable piece of medical equipment for blood pressure and EKG readings. I compared this device against my doctor's blood pressure monitor, and the readings were spot on. This device also agrees with my Welch Allyn BP device. This Omron BP7900 monitor requires you to do an intial setup procedure, which has several steps, but is not hard to do. I had to pair it with my Iphone 15+ to run the Omron connect US/CAN/EMEA app to record and save my EKG readings. You do NOT need any extra app features...just use the basic app and you will be fine. Once you do the intial setup, this device is very easy to use. My primary care doctor, and my cardiologist were very impressed with this Omron BP7900. I've had 3 TIA's, so I need to keep a close eye on my BP numbers, and my EKG graph. I am on BP medication, so my BP numbers are fine. If you want to see a clear record of what your BP and EKG is, then buy this device NOW. I will repeat that...don't sit on the fence, buy it NOW. It could save your life if you have high blood pressure or abnormal heart rythm. Let me assure you, I do NOt work for Omron, and I am not connected with them in any way. I am just like most users...I want and need a dependable and accurate BP and EKG monitor. Conclusion: I am very satisfied with the Omron BP7900 monitor, it really works as described, and It might just save my life. I highly recommend it.

Doesnt work with Android, support wont respond
Device worked fine using my iphone, but after switching to Android the app doest have half the capabilities of the iphone version. There is no ability to choose only a blod pressure reading without running an ekg, and the EKG is so erratic its impossible to finish a test of any length. Blood Pressure reading are wildly innaccurate. I turned off NFC in my phone and ensured I was on the latest android and omron app version. I emailed Omron support multiple times, received an autoresponder saying they would reply in 48 hours. Two weeks later, still nothing received. Im past my Amazon return period and have to eat the loss. If you have a samsung android I would avoid this vendor.

Worth the cost.
This is an all around unit. Still familiarizing myself with the unit. Takes BP, heart rate, and notes irregular heartbeats. LIke the function of uploading readings to iphone so I can share/send to my Dr. A bit more on the costly side but worth the cost.

Support does not exist.
Update: support finally contacted me with a workaround. Not a great option but at least it worked. Still, should not have taken so long. But upgrading score. This is a great device. Gives a reasonably accurate blood pressure reading and the quality of the EKG surprised my cardiologist. I have intermittent afib and the importance of taking regular EKGs can not be overstated. For quite a while this need was met quite well by this product. However in order to take an EKG you must use the app along with this device. You don't need the app for a BP reading, but you do for an EKG. And herein is the problem. A few days ago this app simply froze up. It not only froze on my phone but on my wife's also. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it with the same result. The app opens, nothing works, and after a few seconds closes itself. I have tried multiple ways to contact Omron including sending an email to the email address given on their website, filling out a contact form on their website, leaving a message on their Facebook page, and leaving comments on their Facebook posts. All, every single one, has been ignored. No response. Without the app working this device is basically a paperweight. The very least a company of this size should be able to do is respond. They have chosen not to. I am giving this a 2 star instead of a 1 star because the device works for a BP reading, and used to work for the EKG. Now however, for me, it is a useless piece of equipment. Buyer beware.
