HD Internet TV & Internet Radio Desktop Player - LookeeTV 7" LCD

I ordered this by mistake but I thought I would give it a try since I had it in my hands. I couldn't agree more with the awful reviews already posted for this item. If I could issue ZERO stars I would. DO NOT BUY! This is a complete POS for USA users! When I plugged in it, it wanted to do a firmware update so I let it proceed. It took an hour and a half to download and also peaked at ~ 77% then started counting backwards to ~ 51%. Does that tell you something? It did update after 51% (or at least it appeared to) and shut down. I tried TV and Radio (the 1st two icons) and all the unit would do is turn off. After an hour of trying different TV and radio stations (where I could get menu's to actually appear), I was able to listen to 2 radio stations - neither of which I wanted to listen to. And forget TV... none! I just don't get how Amazon could allow the sale of such a POS. I guess they have too many items to review...

This Table top TV/Internet radio works fine. But the content for programming available for USA users SUCKS!You may be able to find some music stations that entertain.You can play your own content from SD cards. It will also pick up any music available on PC's on the network.No Pandora or any of the internet Movie sites like Crackle or even Netflix or Vudu.They have a Link to MSNBC that gives you the NBC nightly news; but its almost always yesterdays news.As I said .... It works fine.New Firmware could make this little more entertaining.

I was one of the first to receive the lookeetv when it first came out.When it arrived, I found that very few of the tv stations actually worked.Most of the video is out of sync or must buffer too much.As a matter of fact, if you can't speak chinese or another foreign language, you are just about out of luck.You are asked to log on and enter your email address so they can send you important information. I have never received any information since I got the radio.It's like they don't really exist.Shoutcast does not work and many of the listed radio stations do not work. The unit will just keep on trying toget the station and then it will go off. As a matter of fact, most of the other apps do not work either. You click on them and you will get a no data found message.The alarm feature does not work properly. I was instructed to download new firmware but, here is the kicker, I would haveto download the firmware onto a portable drive from my computer and then install it on the device. Although the internet sitehad firmware to be downloaded, it was not current or would not download.I own several internet radios and this is by far the worst radio I have ever owned.I have not had it a year and the power supply adapter has gone out.I have tried to reach lookeetv and I get no answer.I have looked on the net many times for information about the unit and all that appears is information from lookeetv. No individual comments about the unit are available. This seems very strange to me. Look up anyother product and there will be lots of information about the product. Not on Lookeetv however. It's like the comment section has been blocked or something.This is a complete waste of time and money as far as I am concerned.If you want a good internet radio, go with Grace or Logitech and forget about this worthlesspaper weight.I do not understand why they have so many station listed on the radio and almost all of them do not work???Now I notice that they are on sale for $79.00. That's $100.00 of the discounted price of the unit.Something is going on with them. Either they are going out of business or they need to dump all the units they currently haveto raise revenue to pay bills.I wish I had never purchased the lookeetv in the first place.

Do not buy! Pure junk! Probably a scam! Should be -5 stars!
