Mag N' Wire Wheel Cleaner 2.5 Gallon

I've been detailing cars for years and always have found cleaning wheels with built up brake dust to be a real headache that takes time...I've tried many wheel cleaners and am always up for trying new things from different manufacturers. Best Supreme sent me this Acid very quickly, I had it in only a few days which was great. Priced at $20 (including shipping) I think its a good value. The fact that it needs dilution is where the value lies, you can get a lot of clean wheels out of this bottle and it would save you money versus buying individual bottles of another brand wheel cleaner. I terms of its cleaning power it's definitely strong stuff I would recommend wearing gloves during handling and do your best not to breathe in the fumes as they are very toxic. The bottle says to dilute 5 to 1 for tough jobs but I found that to be inaccurate it wont be strong enough so for tough I went 4 to 1 and that seems to work much better. For less severe cases I'd say the 5 to 1 or even a 6 or 7 to 1 ratio would be good. Also, spraying on and rinsing off will not always work you still need to agitate with a brush in those cases but nearly as much as you would without this product. Remember NOT to use your average joe spray bottles with this product the fact is it simply wont work long. The chemical in this is strong enough to eat the seals of cheap spray bottles. I'd recommend going to your local home depot, here at amazon, or even Walmart to buy some "Zep" brand chemical spray bottles. These brand bottles are strong enough to withstand this stuff. Or you can also get ones from chemical guys, those work great also. Overall a great product and I recommend it. Four stars the misleading dilution instructions on the label, they outta change it but its no biggie to me.

This STuff is Strong!! DO NOT BREATH THE FUMES! Watch out for the wind changing directions & blowing it back at you too. I mis=xed about 4/1 mixture, Restored an old BMX Motomag from the 70s. Great for removing dirty dirty grimy stained aluminum wheels. Just be careful to not leave it on TOO long as to not chance damaging finish. I didnt damage mine, but just saying, It is strong stuff.

This stuff is potent, like burn your fingers strong. And its a delayed burn, if you put it in a pump spray some will drip on your hand and all of a sudden it burns real bad and you run for a hose. But it does fantastic on neglected wheels, spray on, rub it a little, spray off and repeat if necessary. That eagle 1 wheel cleaner is crap, this is it. I use it about 1/3 ratio which is pretty strong, doesn't seem to harm the tires at all which is what I worried about. Not even after leaving it on for a long time. It does eat up the valve stem internals and core metal parts, so keep them covered. Works great on HVAC coils and anything aluminum.

First, I thought it would be just as the directions stated, dilute to the levels they state, let it sit for a bit and spray off within a minute or so. APPLY TO COOL SURFACES ONLY. However, when I used even the highest concentration recommended, it was not simply washing off the crud. So i put on some gloves and used a microfiber and OH DAMN... that brake dust came off like butter with a hot knife no joke! 4 stars only because it doesnt just wash off like what the pros use, but 4 stars is damn good. I recommend this for stupid a** mercedes for sure. I RECOMMEND EYE AND HAND PROTECTION WHILE USING THIS IT IS NOT A TOY. it is acid. jic. people do dumb stuff sometimes. LOL

This is by far the best solution to removing heavy, caked on break dust. I tried everything from carb cleaner to gasoline and scrubbed for hours only to get minimal, bad results. I was hopeless and didn't think there was anything I could do to save the rims. I was considering having them stripped and re-chromed. I mixed as directed, sprayed on and washed off with water. I was blown away with amazement. the break dust that I spend hours trying to scrub away was just washed right off with water after applying the solution. Granted, I did do a little minor scrubbing, but only took about 2 minutes per tire and they were good as new. Here is a visual of my results. As much as I hate seeing A$$ kissing reviews on here, these guys deserve one. very impressed.

I never have any luck buying products that I'm not familiar with. This being said I had my doubts....This stuff is Awesome, very Awesome. It takes longer to remove and replace the tire and rim than it does to clean, rinse and dry the rim. I tried every kind of auto and home aluminum/metal polish I could get my hands on and polished for many hours. Never again. If I wasn't a logical or sane person, I'd swear it was magic.Also it takes so little of this stuff, the bottle will last a long, long time.

I used to use the  Sonax 230200-755 Wheel Cleaner  because it is the most highly reviewed wheel cleaner on Amazon. However, I decided to buy a new wheel cleaner because Sonax wouldn't get all of the brake dust stuck in the corner areas of my chrome wheels.I diluted the wheel cleaner at a 5:1 ratio in a chemical spray bottle, sprayed it on the brake dust that Sonax could never remove, scrubbed it a little, and the stubborn brake dust came right off! I hosed off the acid and now each of my wheels has no brake dust at all and are very shiny.Here are the pros and cons of this product compared to Sonax:Pros:* Removes 100% of the brake dust without damaging wheel* Works instantly--you don't need to wait 5 minutes like you do with Sonax* It's much cheaper than Sonax--I bet my bottle will last a year or two* You can create a less diluted mixture if you need itCons:* You need to be careful and wear rubber gloves when working with thisI'm very happy to have found this product.Update: This stuff continues to be great 6 months later. I threw away my Sonax because it's now useless to me.
