BABEYOND1920s Flapper Dress Roaring 20s Great Gatsby Costume Dress Fringed Embellished Dress

This dress was shockingly well-fitting on me! I'm a size XL in dresses, and 5'4''. Ordering dresses online is always a toss up, but I felt like a sexy little thing in this! My husband was WOW'D to say the least. It hugs my curves just right, and the length was good for me--not too long, not too short. There is going to be some cleavage, but it's not overboard. AND... I guess this dress was attractive to more people than just me, because at the party, I saw TWO OTHER women wearing the SAME dress... in two different colors!!! HAHAHA. It wasn't obvious since the colors were different, but I knew. It was gorgeous on me in green, and gorgeous in the other colors, as well. You really can't go wrong with this dress.

The only reason I rated this a 4 star instead of a 5 is because a few tassels came off while I was wearing this to a dance. It’s very comfortable and classy looking. I just wish the tassel section would’ve been made with more care. Overall, I really love it and am keeping it. I still recommend if you want to have a flapper dress that doesn’t look like a costume ✨

Admittedly, I haven't worn this yet for the event that I bought it for, but I love the detailing!I don't love that 1920s dress styles don't work as well for a pear-shaped body, but that isn't anyones fault! I will, likely, use safety pins under the arms to tighten up the top area, since I bought the dress in the size that worked best for my hips. Initially, I thought that I might try to take in the underarms to deal with cut of the dress, but the detailing is much too nice to make adjustments in that way right now.

I thought I would write a review on this dress because I received many compliments. The fit was flattering and the quality of the dress was very surprising given the price. Several of my friends bought roaring 20's dresses for an event and everyone agreed on the high quality of this dress. The dress was very comfortable. I felt great dancing in it. The sequence pattern is lovely, subtle. It was an excellent choice.

Doesn’t hide my flaws though this dress is pretty. To return and get something else.

Absolutely fabulous. I know this is listed as a costume piece, but the quality and design make it completely appropriate to wear as just a (somewhat fancy and period specific) dinner dress.
