It seems like it would do a great job protecting carpets, furniture, and other surfaces from scratching. Unfortunately, my cat has not used it at all. After trying it for a while, I've realized that she strongly prefers to scratch vertically rather than on horizontal surfaces. That's no fault of the product—it simply doesn't match my cat's scratching style. The mat itself feels sturdy and well-constructed, and I think it would work very well for cats that enjoy scratching on the floor or other flat surfaces. Overall, it's a nice product, but be sure to consider whether your cat prefers horizontal or vertical scratchers before purchasing.

Absolutely the best cat scratching pad! My cat loves it. She scratches on it frequently during the day to keep her nails in good condition. She like to sleep on it too. It’s the perfect size. It’s well made and should last a long time.

The mat is made well enough. I just laid it on the floor and did not try to attach it to anything. I wanted to see if my cat was interested in it first. He was not. He does not want to lie on it. He does not want to scratch it. He is completely disinterested. It is not because it is not a well made product. Just be aware that not all cats will be attracted to it. My cat also does not like catnip, so putting that on the mat did not do anything for him either.

My cats ignore this, but my daughter's cat loves hers. If you know cats, you understand this situation. Most cats would rather shred the couch, but maybe you'll get lucky and have one more like my daughter's. I like that this doesn't result in cardboard bits all over the place such as the corrugated scratchers my cats prefer.

My cat wouldn’t use the scratching post. Instead he used my carpet. I purchased this item and he uses this mat and loves it! This item is very sturdy and adheres to the carpet quite nicely.

This cat scratcher mat is amazing! It's built well and durable. It also helps save the carpet as I'm renting. It won't stay on the carpet when put because the floor isn't tile or hardwood so I improvised and put it slightly underneath the door. My cat loves it and uses it daily. She's in the closet for right now since my other cat and her are still getting used to each other. It's a decent price point for it and I believe it will last a while. 4.5 Stars
