Perfect Compatibility!
This adaptor works perfectly for my older laptop!! I've noticed that a number of these 3rd party cables are either glitchy or end up not being compatible especially for older devices that they are intended for. This one worked instantly as soon as I plugged it in. It's well designed so it's sturdy and doesn't wiggle around in the usb slot. The type-c end fits securely and snug for easy transfer from my device. Definitely recommend this product.

Works like a charm
I've been looking for an OTG adapter for microUSB to USB 3.0 port. Believe me, this type of adapters is not easy to find. Most of the ones you see on Amazon are simply adapters for charging. This product works great, and I'm able to connect a micoUSB audio DAC to a USB 3 port on my PC laptop to listen to high resolution music. This item cost little more than others but it's worth the price. The build quality looks great, too.

Exactly what I needed for my WebCam
I couldn't get smooth video from my Logitech StreamCam when I had an external monitor connected via USB-C dock, so I used this adapter to convert the Stream cam to USB 3.0. Now the webcam is perfect, no video loss or jumpiness. Adapter is nice quality and just works, no configuration necessary.I have also used this adapter to use my StreamCam with my Early 2015 Macbook with no type C ports, and it works perfectly.

I wish I could give 6 stars
Every once in a while, you get an amazing product that blows your expectations out of the water. This is one of them.First, let's start with the build quality. This little USB-C TO USB 3 is built different. Its one solid manufactured peice of metal. If you wanted to bend this thing, you would need pliers. Trust me, I have ripped this thing from laptop to desktop much harder than I'd like to admit and it doesn't look a day out the box. In short, its metal, not plastic.Don't need to say much about the price because you can't find one for less. Here was the icing on the cake. I bought this to allow seamless connection from my docking station to my desktop. I also use multiple external M.2 NVMEs that are plugged into the docking station. Now what If I told you that the write speeds and read speeds were somehow faster with the adapter than without. Yeah, idk either. Especially since I have a Razer Black Widow Elite, Basilisk Ultimare Wireless, and a 300ft Cat5e plugged into it at the same time. All in all, if you think you have a better converter/adapter, you are a liar.

It works for Quest2 Link! As long as you have a usb3.0 port.
I have a relatively older computer that doesn't have Usb-C port. I bought this adapter hoping that it would work for Quest 2 Link and it does. Now I can play my steam VR games using oculus headset with higher resolution that I only got for 300$ (+ soul to facebook).Note that this adapter doesn't transfer audio/video and only does data. So you will get video and audio from your quest2 headset directly. This prevented me from using my Bluetooth headphones :(

Do Not Buy to Use With iPad
Purchased this adapter on May 20 to use with my iPad Pro and just getting around to using it today. I am so disappointed because it does not work. When I plug my iPad into the adapter and then into my computer, my iPad indicates that it is not charging. Wish I had tried to use this earlier because the return window has closed and now this is a worthless piece of junk to me.October 19 Update: After reading my review, the seller reached out to me to let me know that they reported my case to their products developers and got an answer for my problem. I was informed that I could transfer data by connecting this adapter to my computer but because the power output of some of the computers’ USB interface is insufficient, l would not be able to charge my iPad and it would display “not charging” which is exactly what happened to me. In order to use this adapter, I had to purchase a charger with an output of 5V/2.4A which can charge normally. I am now able to charge my iPad with the new charger that I purchased without any problems.

Won't connect my monitor
It works fine generally .... but as soon as I add it to my set up to connect my hub and add my monitor in to my laptop that does not have a USB-C port, the monitor won't work. As soon as I take it out of the links, and put the hub directly in to a lap top that with a USB-C port that doesn't need the final converter, monitor comes on fine. I appreciate that different USB's allow different video connectivity etc etc, and as a regular person, I'm reasonably knowledgeable about IT, but this converter's limitations weren't really clear to me before I purchased.
